Publisher's summary

Now that Geraldine Porter is retired, she's got time to devote to her favorite craft. You'd think the world of shoe-box-sized Victorian shadowboxes and little ceramic bathtubs would be trouble free. But Gerry's problems are anything but tiny...

As chairwoman of the local Dollhouse and Miniatures Fair and babysitter for her precocious granddaughter, Gerry's got enough to think about without the curious behavior of her friend Linda Reed. Misfortune seems to follow Linda like a string of melted glue from a low-end glue gun. So when Linda and her prized miniature Governor Winthrop desk go missing the morning of the fair, a worried and annoyed Gerry gets stuck manning two tables alone. Before the week is out, a young woman and prominent townsperson are murdered, and Linda's Governor Winthrop turns up in a most bizarre place. Then someone starts threatening Gerry. And Linda knows more than she lets on. Now Gerry must get to the bottom of things, or it's going to be big trouble....

Loved this series!

Geraldine Pickens might be my new favorite person! Between creating miniatures (I am fascinated with this!), spoiling her granddaughter (a grandmother's right!), she is also solving a mystery (or two). She is my kind of lady!
I listened to the audiobook version of this book and I seriously love Jennifer Pickens. She has a great way of making me believe she IS each character she does. She makes me laugh and get mad when each character does and to be able to create those emotions with just her voice, is a talent few have.

Murder and Mayhem

Murder in Miniature is a well written book with intricate details. The storyline is full of secrets, plot twist and murder. In the span of one week Lincoln Point a quiet out if the way town experiences a jewelry heist and a double murder. The story is a little slow because it gets bogged down with so many unnecessary details but it is still quite good. Jennifer Pickens is an amazing narrator that brings intrigue and a little humor to the story. I found the book to be very interesting because of the unique twists with many different stories that all fit together to make one heck of an ending. If you love intricate mysteries this book is for you. I am voluntarily leaving this honest unbiased review for Murder in Miniature.

retiree trumps cops

This was a twisted tale with secret identities and family connections all through it. It kept me on my toes. My only problem was that the retiree solved the crimes before the cops. lol. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job bringing it to life.

Pretty good

Murder in Miniature is ok. I like the math professor series more. This one is a bit slow.
