Remember the Alamo and remember Charlie

Brigid and Linc are on their honeymoon in San Antonio and the stumble into a murder during their tour of The Alamo. This is the 5th in the Cottonwood Springs series by Dianne Harman. This is a cozy mystery and since it is fiction, you need to suspend reality about police procedure, lie-detecting dogs and just enjoy the story. I liked the descriptions of San Antonio, the Riverwalk, and The Alamo. The narration by Anna Wheeler added to my enjoyment of the story.

Honeymoon murder

I love the characters in this series! Brigid and Linc are finally on their honeymoon. They are staying at the Alamo. Someone who works there is found murdered. There’s lots of secrets in this story. And lots of secretive relationships behind the scenes. Brigid can’t help herself from getting involved in investigating the suspects. And she finds a dog to keep her company during their stay.

Quick easy listen

Another light easy listen/read. I like Dianne's books because you can keep track of the characters. Some of the ideas are preposterous, police departments don't just let civilians help with investigations and certainly not a stranger. If you can live with those kind of things the books is actually a fun little read/listen, and it is fiction after all. I am really growing quite fond of the narrator. Kinda sad that the next book doesn't have an audio version. I guess I'm going to have to read a book. The narrator does a great job and is easy to listen to at 2.2x the speed.
