The best thus far

I really enjoy this series. Porter is fantastic with her narration , the plot is interesting and moves along well and I LOVE the the characters. There is also a great deal of humor in the books and I often lol at their antics. Go ahead and listen to this series. You won't regret it.

The Poor Relations Series

What made the experience of listening to Mrs. Budley Falls from Grace the most enjoyable?

I am totally hooked on this series. Ms. Poter's narration is wonderful. I am delighted
by the main character's personalities and can't wait for the next book to see what
they get involved in this time.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Sir Philip is the most colorful character. He is a rake, kind, hateful,sweet, and
totally unpredictable.

What does Davina Poter bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I have listened to her narations of M.C.Beaton and enjoyed them but this series is her
finest performance. Her characters come alive. She deserves 5 stars for this
narration.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The series brings laughs, worry, historical information, and pure delight.

Still loving this series!

These books basically follow the same storyline in each. But, I love listening to Davina Poter...each book has me laughing out loud. I don't think the series would be as good if read by anyone other than Ms. Poter. If you want an unexpected treat and light listening material that will give you a good chuckle now and then....then, choose this series!

This Poor Relation series by Marion Chesney is delightful.

Each character is engaging. I find myself giggling and even so moved as to tear up at the ups and downs of their lives. Thank you for your wonderful imagination Ms. Chesney. If only you were still with us to create more!

As good as the others in the series

This is such a great series. Davina Porter is an amazing narrator and the story line is incredibly entertaining.

I have to buy the next in the series-- and I rarely buy books but usually wait for the next month's credit. these are just that good.
