Publisher's Summary

The billionaire always gets what he wants. This time, he wants me....

My trip to London was the first lucky break I've had in years. It came at just the right time, allowing me to escape my sad reality for a bit. And the guy I met on the flight? Perfection. The short week we spent together was filled with raw, unbridled, and passionate nights. But it couldn't last. I'm a single mom with a troubled past and a shady ex. Romance just isn't in the cards for me. Which is why I walked away from Jim and didn't look back.

That was before I landed my new job. Before I met the boss. Before I discovered that Mr. James Mitchell, CEO, was my Jim - my unforgettable Jim from our week together in England. Judging by the smile on his face when he sees me, he remembers everything. And now he wants more. He wants me.

The timing is terrible. My life's a mess, and I just know my ex will do something to ruin me. Again. But none of that matters when I'm in Jim's arms.

So, what are the odds that I'm finally due for my very own happily ever after?

With my luck? Not bloody likely.

Contains mature themes.

A GOOD LONG LISTEN

First of all, well done and thank you Ms Marks for writing a lengthy (nearly fourteen hours) romance that doesn’t have cliffhangers and isn’t split into an annoying and costly three book trilogy 👏. A workaholic Billionaire CEO and a single Mom.. two strangers sitting next to each other on a flight to London.. chemistry leads to a one-time thing at his Country Estate for a few days.. and Fate has their paths cross again which leads to a beautiful beginning. Character growth has Jim putting down his phone.. a sweet three year old’s friendliness and outspoken ways melts his heart and Avery, her equally feisty Mom, captures his heart. But there’s tangled strings of a bitter drug addict father/ex causing angst, there’s guilt and enabling and layers of emotional damage.. and, a relationship built on a foundation with secrets not shared, will surely sink.

This is a weighty book with many facets to the dual POV storyline because both Jim and Avery have (and is still) suffering from drug-related ghosts in their backstories. However, there’s also a deep relationship and a lot of charm and light too as the sex, romance and relationships builds.. and I love the inclusion of the Billionaires Club members who were all in Book 1 with their warm friendly banter and jokes flying between them. Sarah and Aiden did a great job bringing the characters, the feels, the fun, the friction, the flames, the fireworks, the family dynamics, the fallouts and the feel-good second chance to life.

Worth a credit? It has its fictional flaws, but yes it’s an enjoyable listen with highs, lows and everything in between.

Love love love

A true love story that has it all. A timeless example of how love conquers all, eventually.
Regardless of wealth or poverty humans need to see each other a just humans with faults, flaws, pain and forgiveness.
Through humour, tears, extra steamy love scenes, a gorgeous little girl, family and friends, love wins overall.
A fabulous listen with two great narrators. Definitely worth a credit.

Love is in the air

I really like this couple. A cute story of a single mom and the big bad CEO.
I'm not one of those people that tells the whole story in a review, it just runs everything for the new comers that want to be surprised. Just like I love it. I really like the characters and the narrators Sarah and Aiden.
So enjoy your read!

Too longggggggg

Although the story itself is charming (and hot in many places), the story was way too long. I had to skip chapters to finish (and it took me less than a minute to figure out what happened and catch up). A lot of needless fluff.

was an addictive listen...

was an addictive listen... love it... just wish that some stories would have more unexpected twist other than cliche... Avery could have moved on and Jim had to fight to get her back.

Great book!!

I loved the first book. This one was equally good. I LOVE Jim!!!!! My only complaint AGAIN is the male narrator. He is so robotic. Shouldn’t be reading romances

mostly good

liked the story. definitely topics worth thinking about... co-dependence, enabling, denial. a lot of smiles mixed in too. my complaint is repetitiveness - if I had heard "bliss" or "gorgeous" one more time I think I may have exploded. this is what EDITORS are supposed to fix.

How is this book not talked about more?!?!?!

This is one of the most swoonworthy books EVER!!! Holy hotness batman! The spice in this book is OF THE CHARTS!!! This is an amazing book, seriously! Theres no trigger topics, no over the top dark stuff, but it is realistic enough to keep you COMPLETELY in the moment with this book! I absolutely loved the dual points of view and how the author portrayed the character developement throughout this book. I will DEFINITELY be rereading this one as one of my go to happy reads! READ THIS BOOK!!!! You will not regret it! Couple of tinsy tiny things I had questions about, but nothing that you can't overlook because of the flawless scene progression. What was the point in Lillians ber scum scene? Avery brought up butt stuff in the first vacay rendezvous multiple times, so honestly was waiting for that assuming it was like another intimacy thing like the oral stuff, but nothing ever happened there. Again, neither of those things pull you from the book and could be answered somewhere, maybe I missed it lol. Read this book, it is just so good!!!! can't WAIT to read about the rest of the "rascals" lol

Outstanding book

Ok this author is new to me, but wow I’m so glad I found this book, yes it’s a long book but so well written including the good and bad in life regardless of wealth or social status, had me captivated from the start right to the end... soooo worth a credit!
If you’re thinking why is a guy reading this stuff, I’m an air ambulance pilot, and this helps counteract the sadness we see daily

Interesting story and subject matter.

What could possibly go wrong, a wealthy CEO of a company dating a women with a past. This story covers addiction, enabling and the effects of drugs on other family members. Some times people are so intent in seeing the speck in others eyes they fail to see the log in their own. the book is a little long, but on the whole a sweet story.
