this was my most anticipated audible book yet. Gordie Howe was not a childhood hero of mine; I was a little too young to appreciate his significance. he has been for quite some time one of my adulthood Heroes. now that same description fits entire family.

There are some moments in Gordie's telling of the Red Wings organization, however, where you will shake your head in disbelief how the players were treated. Overall, it is a great insight into the life of the greatest player on the ice.
