Solid look under the hood of the bombastic Burke

I really like Burke’s approach to story telling. He’s blunt and doesn’t hide his point of view. I gave it 4 stars, because he was quick to attack people he disagreed with while doubling down on his failures (95 lockout, poor handling of suspensions, etc). He’s a bit too quick to toot his own horn. That being said, he’s had a remarkable career which was well documented.

I've been a Canucks fan for a while. Hearing the behind the scene stories of the days when I first followed the team was pretty awesome. I have a ton of respect for Brian. I loved that he didn't sugar coat things.

A great listen from one of my favourite people

Brian Burke has always been someone I’ve enjoyed listening to, I’ve always admired his honesty. He is a straight shooter. He doesn’t sugar coat. I am striving in my life to say what needs to be said without fear. I’m getting closer to that but still have some work to do. Brian is a living example of the opportunities you can have in life if you’re assertive and not afraid to speak your mind.
I enjoyed learning more about him. It’s especially great that he narrates his own story. It only took me a couple of days to listen to the whole book. I highly recommend it.
