Great Listen...but not for everyone!

I am an Austen lover and have dreamed of what happened after the wedding. While this book is not written in true Austen stlye and contains a great deal of bedroom activity. If you enjoy Eloisa James and Lisa Kleypas this book is for you! If you want a pruddish version...not so much. There are several story lines that I disagree with and think are not true to the characters (namely Bingley and Jane) but to each his own. I enjoyed it and will definitely pick it up again in the future. Please...if you are going to review this title read all the way through first.

Best follow up book I've read!

Great book, lots of sex but written in Jane Austen pen style which is a bit strange at first. Great plot, simply loved it!

Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife was a good idea but to long.
The author tried to put in everything. The story would have been better at 4 or 5 hours.

Loved this book!

Loved it! Anxious to read more of the life of Mr Darcy and his wife.

Struggled to finish.

I struggled with the writing and narration. I don't know why but I felt overwhelmed with so many long detailed words to describe a scene, that I would find myself lost in the storyline. It's not that I'm not familiar with English words, and phrases. I have read and listened to Jane Austen's books and many different variations of Audible Pride and Prejudice and I have enjoyed them very much. However, in this book, It's the excessive cluster of words describing the scenes, which frustrated me because I wanted the storyline to flow but I would end up scratching my head and yelling "What????" too many times. Now, that being said, I don't want to rate this book awful, nor can I rate it excellent. So, I will meet in the middle because I do think 🤔 this is only me, struggling to understand. I picked this book because the previous reviews are in favor of the book. I do love listening to different variations of P&P. The story outline, I know I can come to enjoy it. So, I'll try again to listen to it, and if need be, AGAIN. 👍
