A man must survive the zombie apocalypse armed with only a shotgun, a Samurai bat, and the will to live among the unliving in this horror series debut.
It’s been two years since civilization ended in an unstoppable wave of chaos and blood. Now, former house painter Augustus “Gus” Berry lives a day-to-day existence of waking up, getting drunk, and preparing for the inevitable moment when “they” will come up the side of his mountain and penetrate his fortress.
Living on the outskirts of Annapolis, Gus goes scavenging for whatever supplies remain in the undead suburbia below. Every time he descends the mountain could be his last. But when Gus encounters another survivor, he soon realizes the zombie horde may not be the greatest threat he faces . . .

Where does Mountain Man rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Over the past 5 years I've become a real fan of Zombie Fiction. Mountain Man presents itself as a testosterone driven adult read rather than a "sparkling in the sun" fantasy love story. It was gritty and suspenseful like a zombie survival story should be. My background is East Coast Acadien Canada. Imagine my surprise when I recognized my home setting described. Made it that more enjoyable for me. Guns. Knives. Axes. Booze. Incredible physical pain and laughter. Constantly looking over your shoulder for the hungry DeadHead lurking around the cornerWhat about R. C. Bray’s performance did you like?
The performance was second to none. Each character was clearly presented and he went over the top with the crazy. He wasn't shy about anything. The pace of the reading was just right with natural pauses between chapters. It didn't feel rushed through.Any additional comments?
I'm always glad to see Canadians writing about Canada instead of settling with having to make it some remote American state so they will sell more books. Thank you Keith C. Blackmore for a great read and to Audible for giving the author the opportunity to show off great Canadian talent!Great Canadian Zombie Story!
