Fun story

I’m not a fan of the constant switching of narration with chapters. It was distracting. However it’s a very sweet, sexy book and I enjoyed it. The entire book takes place on the resort so there’s not a lot of action or excitement but the storyline progressed nicely.

did not like short chapters, very jumpy. The expectations were much higher.

A must listen!!

This was such a fun listen! Erin Mallon and Connor Crais brought Courtney and Sterling to life perfectly — their banter, chemistry, and all the swoony small-town moments felt so real. Courtney is easy to love, and Sterling’s grumpy, stubborn side made their dynamic even better. I really enjoyed the romantic suspense aspect that comes into play. Can’t wait for book 2 🤭💕

Ooomg I love it

Not my usually book, however when Kristie form Booktok tells you to read a book. You donwlaod it right away. The way this book sat with me. Courtney did nothing wrong her whole life, she was dealt a bad hand from the getgo.
I'm so glad she found a happy ending.

I haven't read or listen to a good book that was as amazing as this one.
Loved the storyline.

wonderful book but could used less chapters (maybe half)

only complaint is 198 chapters that most were just a couple of sentences. it took half the book just announcing the chapters. loved dual narration and story!

Beautiful Story, Hot

I really enjoyed the short chapter format as it allowed the reader to understand one scene back and forth amongst both characters. The story is beautiful and he's quite the dirty talker. Highly recommend.

Flannel Grumpy Boss meets Sunshine Hardworking Brunette

Court/Courtney is hired to be the new maintenance worker at the lodge and when she arrives, she is met by the owner Mr Black. Sterling Black was expecting a guy so when a gorgeous curvy brunette shows up, he instantly says NO! Traveling from North Carolina to Colorado, she has not a lot to her name. $200, a box of food and some gas in her jeep. She threatens legal action for non-fair firing so Sterling gives in and sends her to the laundry lodge. When she steps in, she realizes it’s extremely small and the loft bed has no mattress. She thinks this is a test and she will rock this job with Jo issues. She works extremely hard. I love that she talks to the appliance or her cactus since she’s all alone. She befriends the other workers at lunch time and wins their hearts. Sterling. He is such a grump but loves so hard in his own way. He is so fascinated and obsessed with Courtney but she has no idea. This book was phenomenal and I can’t wait to read on in this series!! Also, brilliant idea of this amazing narrative cast as Sterling and Courtney! Connor Crais & Erin Mallon are two of my favorites and they slayed this book!! 👏🏼

Story is great!!

I marked it down due to how many chapters. It becomes a little much I mean, there’s almost 200 chapters in this book. And some chapters are literally 30 seconds to 45 seconds long like two sentences and then it’s a new chapter and it’s only during the spicy scenes so I’m not exactly sure what the author was thinking when they wrote it. The narrators are great. The story is awesome. The book is fabulous but the whole time I was listening I kept thinking to myself, man I wish I could redo these chapters. It would be so much better.
