There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert's name. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse - unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season. Yet a more immediate threat lurks to the south, where Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, has died under mysterious circumstances....

Ehhhh, just okay...
This story borderlines on being a "trashy romance novel." Didn't need the graphic descriptions of romantic interludes. The storyline is predictable. The narrator wasn't very good. Not enough distinction between characters, and her "Scottish" accent frequently sounded more Irish than Scottish. I will not be purchasing the rest of the series.

Such an enjoyable set of stories and endearing cast of characters. Most enjoyably being able to seamlessly travel from one escapade to another without encumbrance. Knowing the rest of the series is available as a boxset only heightens my desire to experience the remaining trists of Morna's Legacy in the same manner as I did the first, only the audible companion does not yet exist, so I must reiterate my above sentiment: MORE PLEASE...

Cringeworthy but I still listened.
These are really cringie stories. I was looking for a fun time travel romance. The writing was just...simple. It's like a very talented teenager wrote it. The dialogue was unlikely. The male characters (fairly woke for their time) were more like cardboard cutouts of a teenage dream than any real fleshed out characters. Handsome manly men who only lived to worship their women and treat them like equals with an amused smile-kind of thing. Unlikely at best. Story and characters just not engaging or believable.
On the other hand, I kept listening. Maybe that was what I needed. Something I REALLY didn't need to pay much attention to.
The narrator was fine. Yeah, she had a cross between Irish and Scottish accents (leaning towards Irish), but she did a good job otherwise. I mean, who really cares if the accent is perfect? She did better than I could and her pace was good.
If I had it to take back, I wouldn't waste a credit, but it's fine if you need something light and silly.

Dreadful
Apart from the narrator, whose accent got nowhere near Scotland but drifted to New York Irish and back, the storyline was weak with the women inadequately drawn and the male characters unbelievable. I would suggest that the writer do some research and she will discover that Gaelic was the spoken and written language in the Highlands at that time and that no one would have understood a word her American characters were speaking.

Child Like Storytelling
Very immature writing and no depth to the actual story, very basic . Could also do with a load more research into historical Scotland and what things were like in that error, not bringing things from the 20th century into the 17th century. The narration was also not great, there was no consistency with the accents.
This could be so much better if even a bit more elaboration went into the story.
Very disappointed I wasted a credit on this.

Narrator needs to learn difference between Irish and Scottish accents
Wonderful story set in scotland. my only issue is the narrator using an Irish accent to portray Scottish characters. Quite irritating
