Publisher's summary

Callie Henderson had to fight to put her tragic past behind her, but now the up-and-coming player in the hospitality industry is well on her way to happiness. She has her sights set on the lead renovation position at the Sunset Harbor Inn—an inn that just happens to be owned by Sam Edwards, the man who comforted her in her grief and gave her one night of passion before walking away.

Sam is searching for someone who can turn his quaint inn into a premier boutique hotel. He just never expected that someone to be the one woman who knows his deepest secrets. But he needs Callie, and Callie needs the job. Throw in a talking parrot with a cracker addiction, some uncooperative islanders, and enough sexual sparks to light a beachside bonfire, and they’ve got their work cut out for them.…

More to Give is a story of heartbreak and healing, of facing the past…and having the courage to believe in a future.

Narrator accent distracting

This was a great end of the series. However the narrator was supposed to do Southern accents and I found that in the middle of the book particularly during intimate scenes the accent was distractingly exaggerated and at one point made me actually want to not listen to the book. Overall a good story though a bit convoluted toward the end to understand how the romantic leads had misinterpreted each other or how they even figured out what was happening but again the narrator it was distracting

Fabulous romance!!

Loved Callie and Sam's story. Lots of sparks between them, and insecurities and heartbreak in both their pasts! To narrator Amy Rubinate........Good job👌

Love this series. It's been a lovely book.
It's well written and the story and characters are maturing along the instalments.

A great change... enjoyed the series

Uplifting, not one of those old fashioned stories that were all the same except for the names.

Not overly full of sex scenes described for pages and impossible to ever figure out two people could manage without serious injury - tasteful yet erotic enough to leave imagination.

Reader is great. I look for her other works.

Anchor Island Series

This is the 4th book in the series and was my least favorite. I still enjoyed the book very much but loved the 3 others in the series a lot more. I also love Amy Rubinate who narrates this series. She brings these characters to life. You really can't go wrong listening to this series of books. It is a great easy listen especially on a summers day. Enjoy.

nice

Great addition to the series. Love how Sam and Callie worked together. Thank goodness Callie stopped being so stubborn and realized the mistake she was making. Bless Sam and is delayed reactions. Nice to see him stop obsessing over the past and enjoy the present and look foward to the future. Glad that things worked out. Nice read

Love Anchor Island!

If you could sum up More to Give in three words, what would they be?

Communication is key!

What other book might you compare More to Give to and why?

I have had a few series that I have enjoyed but this series has a special feel to it that I can't compare to anything I have read before.

Which character – as performed by Amy Rubinate – was your favorite?

Sid

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When the email was sent from Sam to Callie that she was no longer needed at the Inn after the renovations were complete.

Any additional comments?

I would love for this series to continue with the many characters that were introduced in these stories! Sad to have the series end!

Refreshing, amazing, funny. Just loved this one too.

I love Anchor Island's books. They are so different from other romances. I eat books so I sometimes feel they all seem the same.
This is a funny, sweet and refreshing story about Callie and Sam, two people that have met years ago and in a very sad situation had been pulled together in a one night stand. Both betrayed and insecure.
Years later she comes to the island to lead a renovation project in one of Sam's hotels and all kinds of funny and sudden things happen.
Join this brilliant narrator in this hot, sweet story. You'll not regret.
I love all these books but the second w/ Cid and Luca's story and this are my preferred ones.

Parrot Better Than Plot

It's sad when the most interesting character in a contemporary romance was the pet parrot. Sam and Callie had potential but seemed awfully 1 dimensional to me.

Supposedly Sam had a bug up his butt because he was being forced to live on a small island in order to inherit 2 oceanfront hotels - what an ungrateful, immature jerk! Sorry, but if someone left me businesses worth millions I wouldn't be bitching & moaning.

Also, Sam was portrayed as a smart businessman, yet he agreed to rushing the renovation of a historical inn for 1 lousy wedding reception in December. Only an idiot would pay overtime and use unskilled workers to open a seashore property in winter, then have the inn sit basically empty for 3-4 months.

Since the premise was ludicrous, I was more annoyed than entertained by More to Give.
