Moonrise

I suppose it’s not fair to write a review when I didn’t finish the book, but I just couldn’t empathize with either the H or h. He was too jaded & she was too naive. It’s possible he can be redeemed by the end of the book, but I don’t care about him enough to find out. I’ve enjoyed books by Anne Stuart before & I always love Susan Erickson’s work, but I just can’t get into this story.

A dark romance!

Maybe I missed it, but just FYI this novel, although well written, contains domestic violence. I was a little put off by how crude some of it was…definitely not my taste. I also wasn’t too impressed by the lack of sense this gal seemed to have for said offender. He was repeatedly too rough with her sometimes hurting her significantly and other than the fact she had a crush on this guy as a youngster, I really don’t see the reason for the attraction? Love this author and will continue to peruse her long list of titles, but this one made my stomach churn 🥴.

Hard to relate to the characters

Well are usually like Anne Stuart and the narrator does a great job I found Could not find any empathy for the characters and the plot was pretty obvious. Don’t let this review stop you from eating Anne Stuart But you may want to wait till this book is on sale

Pretty boring

I really had to force myself to finish this book. The narration was okay but the storyline was dull. It wasn't until the last few chapters that it became really interesting. I don't recommend paying cash for this one. Use a free credit but ONLY after you listen to the sample or read the "look inside" sample on Amazon.

Cheesy but worth it

The story is a little silly at times. Annie is too naive to the point of childish too much but it’s a good overall story line. Predictable

Not really a mystery, but more like soft porn.

Not my kind of book, but if you are into murder and sex and soap opera melodrama, go for it.

Mad, Bad and Dangerous to Know

Sigh, I love Anne Stuart's dark heroes. Yes, I would never like them if I meet them in real life and would be highly concerned if any of my friends got involved with anyone who had even the slightest resemblance to any them. But reading about them and letting yourself get swept away in the story about a bad man and a good woman is always so much fun!
