Story
I wondered what my life would have been like if we had never moved to the ho-dunk town of Spring Valley, Illinois. Sure the internet service was splotchy, there was nothing but miles of wheat fields, and I probably wouldn't be faced with death at every corner. My only neighbor in this god-forsaken town was...well there really was only one to describe him, hot as hell. With his sinful dark looks, unusually silver eyes, and kissable lips, there was something about him that was more than meets the eye.

War is coming. The veil between the living and the dead no longer exists. Evil is running rampant and the universe's symmetry balances on my fingertips. No big deal. Of course, nobody knows how or when the hallows will strike, or who among us is a traitor.

Lexi Winters’ world is falling apart. Damaged. Scarred. And vengeful. Retaliation consumes her heart. Night and day, all she can think about is exacting her retribution for Colin’s death, the boy she once loved. Her guilt and resentment fuel her choices to hunt. Fate has other plans. The Wild Hunt is underway, and Ashor Clave has one job: collect as many human souls as possible in a single night. Not such a bad gig for the son of a powerful demon, that is until he runs into unexpected trouble - a small but feisty package.

Story
Since moving to Mystic Harbor, Maine, I've made it my life's mission to avoid Reese Blackburn at all costs. Sure, he has cheekbones that could cut glass, not to mention bedroom eyes that could melt any girl into a puddle on the floor. Too bad that doesn't change the fact he's completely stab-worthy. When a fun night out on the town turns deadly, I quickly discover the quaint little hamlet of Mystic Harbor houses more than sandy beaches and adorable B&Bs. Beneath the New England charm rests a world where shifters, demons, vampires, and angelic hunters all vie for power.

Torin, the leader’s son, drags me back before my first shift...a shift that will reveal my true mate. I never could have predicted who mine would be, but the moment my wolf looks upon him, I’m filled with hope for a brighter future.

Story
Since I was born, I was destined to be one thing - the Alpha’s mate. It should be every girl’s dream. Not mine, though. He’s too dark and damaged, and I’ve got a secret he can never know: I’m not a true wolf. Instead of waiting for him to figure out that I’m an abomination, I left on my 15th birthday. But I didn’t go far. No way in hell would I let him drive me from the town I love. Ten years later, I’m still hiding in plain sight. When I occasionally see him on the street - deadly, sexy, powerful - I just walk by. Keep my head down. Until that night.

Yesterday I was a teenager waiting tables in Manhattan, and today, monsters exist and I can see them. Overnight I’m thrown into the realm of the Watchers, a society of earthbound angels split into two factions: the Shades, whose powerful dark magic is given to them by the fallen angels, and the Lumens, whose abilities are bestowed on them by the archangels of Avalon. They’re on opposite sides of a brutal war, and I only have a few days to pick which side I want to join. I’m ready to choose when the Shades force my hand by cursing someone I love.

Story
I killed a girl last night. I did it with my bare hands and an old piece of pipe I found lying next to the dumpster. But that's not the part that got me. The part that scared me, the part I can't seem to wrap my head around and still has me reeling, was that when she charged me, her body shifted; and then she was a wolf - all snapping teeth and extended claws. But by the time I stood over her lifeless body, she was a girl again. That's about the time I went into shock. And that was the moment he showed up.

Publisher's Summary
Light and dark - polar opposites. That is how Brianna sees Gavin and Lukas. One is the brightest stream of sunshine, and the other as dark as twilight.
Brianna Rafferty is a clàr silte - a witch with the power to strip others of their magic. Her gift both scares the bejesus out of her and thrills her.
Her future is bleak and troublesome, filled with uncertainty. There are those who cloud her decisions, make her doubt herself and what she feels. Sometimes it takes more than courage to make the ultimate sacrifice.
In the end, she will have to face her toughest decision yet. There is evil working among her, threatening all those she loves. In a journey of self-discovery, Brianna will do whatever it takes to protect them. No matter the cost.

Just Okay
The narration was fine, a little slow but fine. The trilogy story line was good, it's the only reason I read all three. I'm disappointed by the main character. Shes overly whiny, comes across as dingy and lacks substance. Gavin's character was good, enjoyable but also lacking. There's a lot of over explaining of simple things. I've read a few by J.L. Weil and while I believe the storylines are good I think there's a struggle to sound current to young people. I believe this does an injustice to teens. Please try to drop the need to "fit in" by using slang. It ends up sounding stupid.
