Fantastic advice for couples, even if they don’t fight about money!

I really like Ramit’s advice on money. Money doesn’t have to be a taboo topic, and it should be enjoyed. With his ideas, you can enjoy your money and build your investments, you just have to automate the way your money gets to the accounts that allow you to save and invest it. Even before listening to the book, you can learn from his podcast of the same name. Even if you start thinking this way, your money will become less of a problem, and more of a solution for a rich life! Money and discussions around it haven’t always been productive between my husband and I. He would always be the one to have the say so about how to spend our money, without opposition from me because I thought he was “better” at handling the finances of our home. A kind of unspoken rule. Then we watched I Will Teach You To Be Rich on Netflix and it was like a breath of fresh air! We had never thought about money in the ways Ramit shared and worked with couples. It was the beginning of a better relationship with money and, consequently, a better marriage relationship for us, too. That was all from the Netflix series. I saw Money for Couples this week and am so excited! Listening to the Audiobook and Ramit’s genuineness and practical insights have been so refreshing to learn from. I especially appreciate the examples he shares of the decisions he and his wife reached. Thank you both for your vulnerability. It is such a strength! Would definitely recommend this book to any couple who wants to grow together in this area!

The first financial book that got through to my stubborn stubborn wife!

This book was so helpful at getting through to my very loving yet stubborn wife. It helped open the door tk positive meaningful conversation that will hopefully allow us to plan together instead of apart. it is practical, realistic and is beneficial for couples at any level of financial success.

What stood out to me most was the helpful money rules.

I liked how pragmatic the author is. However, I don't see how I can invest as much as he suggests. I will have to run the CSP. One thing that I'm excited for is to complete the exercises in this book with my fiance.

The only book you need to get aligned with your partner about money

Simple, actionable, direct… this dude knows his stuff. I’m personally a bit more aggressive with my savings/investment goals in my Conscious Spending Plan, but the fundamentals are absolutely solid and applicable in many circumstances.

Excellent! Ramit does it again!

Going into this book, I was curious how applicable it would be to long-time fans like myself - what else could Ramit cover after the all-encompassing IWT? Well, the answer is, a lot! Since first finding, reading, and applying Ramit's personal finance material, I've gotten married and have had to navigate a shared financial system and the complexities that marriage brings to finances and vice versa. This book is chock-full of lessons I've had to learn the hard way with my partner, and answers to questions we're still working through today! I've learned so much from this book about what a healthy relationship dynamic can look like - both the tactical components and the strategy/vision. Thank you, Ramit!!
