Publisher's Summary

A sexy, grumpy black ops scientist will do anything to track down the mysterious woman who broke into his lab.

After Dr. Ty Sampson catches a mysterious female intruder in his home and lab, he’s obsessed with finding out who she is and what she wants. He’s a man who trusts very few people and hates anyone in his space. His role as Team 52’s lead scientist brings him into contact with a host of powerful, ancient artifacts, so he knows the woman must be after something dangerous, and he refuses to let her succeed.

River Elliott-Hall is good at finding things and prides herself on always getting the job done. When a very valuable painting by a master is stolen from a famous museum, it is her job to get it back. The trail leads her to the bright lights of Las Vegas, and she’s heard rumors of the covert, black ops Team 52. But as she investigates if they know anything about the painting, she finds herself drawn into a battle of wits with a big, bad-tempered, and far-too-handsome genius.

Life has taught River and Ty to guard their hearts, so as these two circle each other, they warily agree to work together. Because it soon becomes clear that the painting is more than just a painting, and someone with a dangerous plan is working behind the scenes. Fighting their intense chemistry, Ty and River - along with Team 52 - will risk everything to save the day, and both find themselves battling the unfamiliar needs to claim, protect, and keep each other safe.

Can’t wait for more!!

Ty and River’s story about two people damaged by the disappointments of family find that love redeems them both!! Ty’s brilliance, sex appeal and reserved countenance is perfect for River’s spontaneity, flexibility and snarky attitude! As always, Stella Bloom does a terrific job narrating! Listening to each story has me contemplating what sparked Anna Hackett’s spirit of creativity? I wonder how much of each story is actually based loosely on facts? One thing for sure is that I’ve enjoyed every telling !!

The inventor and the thief

Ty, inventor of gadgets for Team 52, meets River, former MI-6 agent and now thief, and sparks fly. As the Team search for an ancient globe, this pair give in to the chemistry. Hot, steamy and full of action. Looking forward to Brooks story.

Team 52 continues

This one was just okay for me. O had a hard time connecting with River. Also I just couldn't see Tyson falling for someone. Her is just too moody.

Ty, Meet River

This book shows more about Ty, grumpy genius extraordinaire, who runs into River when she is on a job.

Loved the grumpy man already as part of the group, so this made me so happy for him to find his one.

I also love the DaVinci aspect that just adds to the reading excitement.

Good

BOOK REVIEW......
This was not my favorite book in the series. I liked it but it felt a little off. The chemistry wasn't as believable as I've come to expect from all the previous characters written in all her other books. And yes I've read EVERY book Ms. Hackett has released so I am very familiar with Ms. Hackett's writing. That being said it was still a good story and I do recommend it

NARRATOR REVIEW.........
The narrator did a good job with the voices

Another great story by Anna Hackett

I am a huge fan of Anna Hackett. I love her books and this one is no different. she has action, romance, interesting/innovative gadgets and impossible situations that work or for HEA. This book is one of my favorites in the series.

Stella Bloom has an amazing array of voice tones and this narration was particularly enjoyable. I docked one star because I felt she wasn't confirm with River's British accent and she needs to learn how to cuss better (I don't use cuss words so I'm surprised it bothers me so much).

Overall, this was a very entertaining story to listen to and I would highly recommend it.

I was given a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
