The follow up I had hoped for

This book could be read on its own, but will be more meaningful if you read "The Vicor's Daughter" first, as Lenora is a main character in that book.
This book was thought provoking and clean, a good mixture of romance and life experiences. The author well understands different personalities and temperments, so the characters are believable. The reading is excellent. One can always tell who is talking.

Charming

I so loved this book. Love books with musicians. I so love flawed characters who learn to love themselves as well as others. The main characters are wonderful. So delicious. More please.

I enjoyed it

I actually enjoyed the story (and I loved the narrator). The lower rating is only because at times the plot (main character’s reasoning) went a bit too far and was not convincing.
But I very much liked the chemistry between main characters - I think it was very nicely built and I works really well.
Overall - it was nice and light reading (with only occasional eye rolling) - perfect for summer holiday

Sweet.

Sweet story. I had a problem with the narration. it lacked energy in parts. I didn't care for the male voice.

I felt very antagonistic toward the main characters!

I was surprised that author, Josi Kilpatrick, wrote such a depressing story. I couldn't identify with Lenora or Catherine, and I hated Aiden's woman "friend"! How could he ever befriend such a horrible, uncompassionate, self-centered woman?! It was an inconsistent story in that way. Lenora had no spunk or spirit about her, but was a blubbering, fearful blob. I forever was disgusted with her for her fear-based choices! I would not recommend this book to anyone but a psychologist!

Wonderful proper romance

I thought this book was a very good follow up to the vicars daughter. The characters were good, the story was good, and I really liked the elements in the book.

Such a Fulfilling Story

I've tried other authors, but Ms Kilpack is the best in this genre! This tale does not disappoint. I'm running low on unread books by Ms Kilpack and do not know how I shall fill the void when I've finished them all. Please continue writing Ms Kilpack!

I was sad it ended. I will look for more books by this author. Very well done.

It’s alright. First one was cuter

It took me a couple weeks to finish, not a page turner, but it’s cute.

Some characters are just too annoying

Honestly, the little girl in this story is so awful that I can’t seem to get through it. I’m sure at some point she turns into Shirley Temple, but she was just written too terribly to be redeeming.
