Amelie refuses to believe that Harold is capable of such violence but agrees to help, imagining it will be like one of her favorite mystery novels. Her social connections and clever observations prove an asset to the case, and Amelie is determined to prove Mr. Radcliffe’s innocence. But the more time Amelie and Michael spend together, the more they trust each other and the more they realize they are a good team, maybe the perfect match.

They also realize that Mr. Radcliffe is hiding more than one secret, and when his attention turns toward Amelie, Michael knows he must put an end to this case before the woman he loves comes to harm.

A delightful read!

Although more of a romance than a mystery novel, it was an enjoyable listen. I can readily see it being a series of which I would follow.

Enjoyable

I found it light hearted. Romance and intrigue make great escape whilst putting around.

Interesting and enjoyable listen

I've enjoyed listening to this audiobook, loved the characters and the plot.

It could be shortened by about an hour in my opinion but overall was worth listening

A fun read

I have read quite a few books in this genre and this one was enjoyable, but not one of my favorites. It was interesting, but it wrapped up very quickly and with some loose ends that left me with unanswered questions.

The narrator was mostly good, but her voice for the main romantic male lead sounded haughty and unappealing. It just doesn’t feel like how he should have sounded, so that definitely detracted from the story.

Not terrible but…

I liked the characters very much. It was interesting that they just needed evidence to prove the man a killer. The entire book the detective knew who he was. They just had to come up with evidence.
Honestly, I don’t like ANY love making at all. This wasn’t all that bad—certainly it wouldn’t raise the hackles on anyone who likes to read more in depth lite porn. It was fairly tame. But I have never told a single soul about my sex life and I’ve never listened to a friend talk about hers. So why would I want it in my book?

I enjoyed this reading. I always enjoy romantic stories fro my head old times. When gents where cordial and women learn to want more.

I was pleasantly surprised at how clean this book was. Although mystery might be pushing it since there really was no mystery. I did enjoy the book.

Nice Story

I enjoyed her Steampunk Romance series best, but this is also good. I plan to read the sequel, "To Capture His Heart."
