Brilliant! An important and long-awaited resource

Sincere thanks and gratitude to Linda Karanzalis for filling a huge gap in available education and resources for adults and children living with NVLD. This book is equally beneficial in providing answers and guidance across the age spectrum. As an adult only recently diagnosed with NVLD, I was able to identify strongly with many of the case examples presented (including the author's own), and the signs/symptoms described. On many occasions, I nodded in understanding and agreement and said out loud, "yup, that's me" during chapters on masking and social challenges. The dearth of public education for those living with or parenting children with NVLD is huge, and this important book is exactly what we have been waiting for. Looking forward to more from this author in the future. Highly recommend to all NVLD "pioneers"!

So helpful

This book helped really bring it home for me as a parent of a 20 year old with NVLD. We have know and been managing her struggles for years but this book really validated our experiences and gives the tools to fully understand my daughter. We have given it to family members to help them understand as well. I highly recommend it!

Informative and personal

The writer is great at painting the picure with her own experiences, those of the people she met and helped and supports it with her academic knowledge.

Sometimes it's a bit American in some minor details and goes a bit 'woowoo', but overall, great listen. And I'm very glad there's resources about nvld in audiobook form ❤️
