Either way, Mark feels driven to get to know her, but first he'll need to build up the courage to talk to her.

When Mark asks Riley to work on a special nativity, he finds himself falling for her, particularly because Riley doesn't seem bothered by his scars. Is her affection for him real or is she simply overcompensating, pretending he's not different. One thing's for certain, in a small town that views Mark as a fragile hero, it's hard to pursue a relationship without everyone in his business. And although Riley has sincere feelings for Mark, is she really ready to risk her heart?

Gahhh this hits you in the feels..

Although Riley can be super frustrating I’m not gonna lie Marc is my new book boyfriend for life. This story really did touch a special part of my heart and though it’s long the story was worth every minute!

Gentle Romance

This isn't prestige literature, but I liked it. I especially appreciated the slow process by which the two characters fell in love. Too many other books get them together romantically too quickly. I also appreciated the absence of graphic sex scenes and language. The narrator was non-distracting.

Beautiful Christmas love story

I loved it..wishing it wasn't over. Narrator's voice was perfect! Being from the PNW really made me connect with the story. Please write more like this...even better make it a series ❤🎄❄

Definitely worth a read

And this book was definitely worth reading. Very well developed, cheering for the hero to have a happy end.

Sweet wonderful story

This story touched my heart and at times had my emotions involved to tear jerking stage. I would love to see this made to a movie, great writing. Loved Mark and Riley, they both had difficulties they were facing, but they conquered those obstacles. My first time reading anything from this author. Definitely would recommend.

a heart warming story exposing real pain and the courage to choose hope. recommend it for anyone dealing with suffering or disability.

Sweet Story

What I liked: fairly complex characters, a storyline that’s a little different than most others, its wholesome nature.
What I would have liked better: i’m always slightly annoyed at stories where a misunderstanding between people is the plot driver. This one’s not too bad, although there were a couple of times that I thought, ‘Work it out already!’ Nevertheless, it was a fun listen.

Lovely, Heartwarming read. More of Riley & Mark would be wonderful. I hope there is a book 2.

Such a Positive Message of Love Conquering

I think this story shall be one I will always hold on to dearly. Love the message…..love the story. This is a new author and new narrator for me. The narrator did a wonderful job.

Christmas in a Story

Wanted to listen to something different with a Christmas feel to it and I am so glad that I chose this one . It have me everything I wanted and helped me cope with what life is throwing at me in this time . I have a lot of pain and this story helped to relax me during the night which is when I find things the hardest so thank you and A Very Happy Christmas To You All .

it took over 20 chapters to get to the point which was obvious from the beginning.

I love this book

One of my favourite books. It covers such a sensitive and serious topic as fire and severe burns so well.
I love the humour of the author.I laughed out loud in a few places. The playful banter between Mark and his dad and the way the relationship builds with Mark and Riley is fantastic. The hurt and struggles they both overcome is covered so well.
The Narration is brilliant too. Overall I just love it. it is my feel good go to favourite book.

Easy listening

Loved the narrators voice. Enjoyed the romantic story. Would try another book by Krista and Christine combo

Struggled to get through this

Bit too "mushy" for me, although I did make it to the end. However, as my normal genre is Crime Fiction, if you are into this genre please ignore my slight negativity.
