Nice Listen

this is an incredible book about meditation in general and a new way of seeing the world as it is not as a construction of your self. I recommend this listen to everyone who is like me always anxious for no reason, like the world is about to end at any instant.

Awesome listen

The narrator's delivery was extremely irritating and awkward - long , drawn out., and exaggerated. It was a very uncomfortable listen for the first five minutes that I listened to - forget 12+hours.

Great listen

Great listen, perfect for listening to wherever.it feels more like a teacher speaking in a classroom than the professional books and speakers I am use to on here.

Love this

Too much middle Eastern thought, steeped in naturalistic thinking. Just go get yourself a guru. Not for me. I did not want to give it even one star, but they insisted.

Very good lectures on mindfulness!

I picked this up hoping it'd involve a bit of a guided approach to beginning to incorporate mindfulness into the day to day, but instead got a very good and thorough history of the practice- it's one of the great courses, which are always high quality and interesting, but certainly more theoretical than it is a how-to.

Be well and happy

His voice and accent made me want to shove an ice pick in my ear drums. Wish this was not an audio book or they would have chosen someone with a soothing voice

Good Book

the first time I listened to this was on a busy commuter train and I felt an instant calm. although I had heard of mindfulness I didn't know much about it. yet as his words unfolded I knew this would be important for me. It has taken me a couple of years to start regular practise but I have listened to this many times in that time. It started me on a journey which I suspect will make the rest of my life a nicer place to be.

It sounds like a cliché, but it changed my life.

Seems neat but the professor can’t help but referencing his own views on religion. It’s riddled with preferential references to Christianity. It could be neat if that was disclosed ahead of time but when it starts disparaging theism and atheism explicitly it gets hard to ignore.
