Present moment awareness is an essential ingredient in life if one expects to experience any degree of authentic peace and contentment. It has been acknowledged for centuries as the cornerstone of spiritual awakening in all traditions of Eastern thought. In the West, however, it is still a relatively unrecognized concept for living. The Western mind is always restless, never content with the moment.

I can tell you that meditation can mean many different hings to many different people. Perhaps an easier approach to start with is to clarify what meditation is not. It is not exclusive to one sector of society or a specific type of person or culture. Meditation is open-ended, free, available to anyone, and offers great benefits.

One star across the board. Avoid this book. This is also a test to see if my one star review gets posted. The review headlines do not appear to reflect the comments. Something is fishy when comment after comment dislikes the book but it has perfect ratings.
I was put off right from the LONG legal disclaimer that proclaims this as entertainment and goes on and on like reading a licensing agreement.
I found no value in any of the content and it was painful to make it all the way to the end.
