Publisher's Summary

A hero is born!

On the eve of his father’s death, Tyler Thompson finds himself continually haunted by the memories of things lost. Since that horrible day, he continually gets into trouble, seeking anger as a coping mechanism. That is, until one day, in a tragic turn of events, Tyler, along with his faithful dog Maxx, fall into a cesspool where he is exposed to a mysterious green liquid that changes his DNA, giving him extraordinary powers.

He is befriended by Doctor Gabriel Hutchinson, who is bent on helping Tyler master his superpowers, and when Tyler is given a special alien artifact from his grandfather, his true destiny is revealed. But not everyone is happy for Tyler as the sinister Dr. Payne has other intentions in mind; ones that could spell doom for everyone Tyler holds dear.

Now it will be up to Tyler, his best friend Lukas (who also has special abilities), and Maxx to join forces and put an end to Dr. Payne’s evil schemes. But Tyler will have to make a life-changing decision that could alter the fate of the entire world.

Good story

I received this book for free but the opinion is of my own. Tyler recently lost his father and has been dealing with a lot of bullies until one day he gains mysterious powers. Now, certain people want to take away his powers, some don’t believe him, and there is a hidden secret he has to deal with. Very fun and easy to love story.

So Happy To Have It

I heard a lot about this book from a friend of mine and decided to take a chance on an indie author and publisher. I wasn’t disappointed. So glad I did. Reminds me a little of Spiderman and that’s a good thing. Pick this one up quickly, if you’re a fan of the genre.

Kudos to the author

Kudos to the author for creating a very original story in a crowded genre. Metatron follows the exploits of a young man named Tyler who inherits special powers that he must master in tie to become the city’s hero and stop the evil Dr. Payne from his sinister plans. It all sounds textbooks, and mostly is, but the author does a good job of bringing it all together in an original way that doesn’t get stale. This book was given to me for a review

Waiting For The Next One

I usually don’t listen to much fantasy, but this superhero tale checked all the boxes for me and drew me in. The narration was solid as well, and I’m anxious to listen to the next installment.

A Good Story

Metatron was a good story, and I really enjoyed it. The pacing is good, with Tyler mastering his new found powers as a superhero. There are also some other memorable characters introduced along the way.

Interesting

Tyler is a great hero and his development as a superhero is intriguing. Dr. Payne is a super villain and his plot to destroy Metatron is story-script perfect. The narrator was good too from Basko. Can’t wait to try the next one out.

Loved It

I love fantasy and middle grade fiction and this book was a great mix of both. A little heart-warming as well as Tyler continues to tiptoe back and forth between his identity as Metatron and his regular teenage life.

Impressive Story

Although this is a superhero fantasy tale, there are some YA elements that you’ll really enjoy if you’re into that kind of genre. Seeing as though there are 3 other books in the series, with another on the way, I’d say I found a gem of a series. I will be checking them out too.
