Mess and a Funeral is a gripping, darkly dramatic urban family saga inspired by true events—where grief, secrets, and betrayal collide in the most unexpected ways.

When Casanova rushes to the scene of his girlfriend’s car accident, he ends up fighting for his life after a sudden act of violence. Two weeks later, he’s gone—and the real chaos begins.
At the funeral, long-hidden truths erupt: multiple women claim to have his children, one child vanishes under suspicious circumstances, and three of Casanova's baby mothers form an alliance built on revenge. In the middle of the storm stands Casanova’s mother, determined to bring her granddaughter home and survive the legal, emotional, and downright outrageous battles that follow.

Told with raw emotion, sharp humor, and cinematic twists, Mess and a Funeral exposes the tangled web of lies, loyalty, motherhood, and the lengths people go to protect what’s theirs. This is not just a story of a tragic loss—it’s a journey through the unforgettable drama that exploded afterward.

Perfect for listeners who enjoy:

  • Urban family drama
  • Real-life inspired twists
  • Courtroom conflict
  • Messy relationships and big revelations
  • Emotional storytelling with humor and heart

If you think the drama ends at the grave… think again.

The author uses dark and dry humor to tell a painful and complex story and bring up a subject that we shy away from having meaningful and actionable conversations about: Preparing the Home-going Service (to say the least)! The story sheds light on the subject in a way that will make you chuckle—though you know it “shouldn’t” be funny.
It was both enlightening and disheartening. Nonetheless—hopefully it inspires our community to do better on this issue.
