Publisher's Summary

The hits just keep on coming for Tessie Marie Harlow. She has never had an easy life. Her mom disabled, her dad long gone, and a single mom raising a rambunctious little boy - that's her world.

Her childhood aspirations to be a nurse disappeared after a college spring fling both blessed and burdened her with a baby boy. Dropping out of school, she returned to her hometown and began to settle in. Getting the only job she could, as a bartender, she now spends her days caring for her son and nights serving the Hellions Motorcycle Club and their affiliates.

Andy "Shooter" Jenkins has always been around. Too wrapped up with raising Rex, Tessie has never really noticed him before. He has never been loud or known to have the girls hanging all over him. He is a mystery. A chance encounter brings him to her rescue not once but twice.

The members of the Desert Ghosts Motorcycle Club are in town and bring their own brand of chaos right to Tessie's door. Forced into her day-to-day life, Shooter is doing everything he can to shelter and protect her as lines are crossed and a war between two clubs begins.

Contains mature themes.

Best in the series so far..

This book was a perfect blend of action, love, family, and heated sexy romance. The narration is absolutely flawless as well. Overall I would recommend parting with a credit for it!

I love this series.

Would you consider the audio edition of Merciless Ride to be better than the print version?

Yes, I always prefer audio to print when it comes to biker books. It brings a whole new element to the story as you listen Putin

What was one of the most memorable moments of Merciless Ride?

I'm not sure if anything is really worth calling memorable because nothing stood out to me, but the book was still good to listen to.

What does Elizabeth Hart and Jeremy York bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The detail that the narrators bring into the characters helps with the story. However, some of the parts of the story seemed to drag on because of the way it's narrated.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, it took me a few days to get through this one.

Merciless Ride

I am really enjoying this writers style. I have been looking for a new biker series and I'm glad I found this one. Not sure how I feel about the constant change of narrators,I think I get why that was the choice but not sure that it's working for me. Narrators are so hit and miss. Unfortunately they can also make or break a book.

Anyways this story with Shooter and Tessie was a nice sweet read. Not too much relationship drama that had me yelling at the story. Over all well done and enjoyable. Let's see who is next on the series list!

Good MC romance

I like this author and the series.

This book is a standard MC romance. Biker rules. War between clubs. Violence and retaliation. Protecting what's theirs.

The romance is typical: stubborn, strong women with issues who need protection vs. Alpha men bad boys with issues who fall in insta-love and suddenly change their ways and want to settle down.

The characters and plot lines are interesting. There is a story outside the romance, which is great.

Trigger warning: very realistic, descriptive rape scene.

The narration is excellent.

Just don't know

I like the hellions books and I like Jeremy York as a narrator. But I do not like York as a female narrator. Hart as a male narrator has a lot to be desired. I guess I have listened to books that are truly dual narrated and now this kind of dual narration just gets on my nerves. I hate it because I really enjoy audible books. I may just have to go back to reading again.. At least there is female trying to sound like a male and ruining the experience.
