An interesting listen

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

For the most part, I really enjoyed this book. Nothing in it was terribly new to me, but that probably comes from being raised in an extremely manipulative (and toxic) family. That said, a lot of what the author speaks about resonated with me. The narration was also done well. If you come from a more "normal" upbringing, there is a lot of useful information here.

Excellent advice for victims of manipulators

Clear and detailed definitions of various types of manipulators accompanied by solid advice for victims

great information / horrific reading

I read alot on audible. This was by far the worst narration I have ever heard.

First half great-second half not so much

The explanations and tactics a manipulator uses was very helpful but the second half was just a repeat and only ever spoke if romantic situations. What about when a coworker manipulates the boss against you or others? What if the manipulator is a close relative? Much harder in many ways

eye-opening!

I didn't realize that I've been subjected to manipulation tactics all this time... Now I know... Time to put up my defenses. This is definitely something everyone should listen to.

A Real Eye Opener

While I listened I started to recognize all the people in my life that have manipulated me. I saw how I wouldn't recognize it before and would let it happen time after time. Now armed with defence strategies and defence I can confront them head on. I can now have stronger relationships and feel better about myself.

MENtal MANipulation

Many examples of manipulation. Some obvious, others made me do a, wait a second, that makes sense. I found many useful suggestions. In this audiobook you will learn how to recognize and combat those mind games. I must admit, Joe Wosik did a fantastic narration. He had sarcasm in just the right places. I could listen to his voice for hours. Oh wait I did! I was given this audiobook in exchange for my honest review. Audiobook Boom is a great place to find new talent. Thank you!

I understood I was manipulated much more than I thought possible. Very useful book to self heal.
