Maven is my type of guy

Maven came in HOT! But he knew what he wanted and did not play about it. I loved the dynamics of this story and the narrators did a great job.

Storyline

Loved it all, wouldn’t change anything about it at all. Need more readings of this series

I liked it buuutttttt…….

So, I liked the story but a few things kept it from being great for me. The first thing was the narrators; when I think of aggressive men and behaviors, a deeper richer voice comes to mind to connect the puzzle pieces. Neither male voice or the females version of the male swayed me. I cringed during certain parts because it just wasn’t sexy or attractive at all. Next, I absolutely detest domestic violence, so when Chime slapped Maven at the restaurant I was appalled and actually considered not finishing the book at all.

I was impressed with Chimes ability to be apologetic when confronted about her deception. Although it took a while to get there, Maven was will to work on the relationship. I was disappointed that the author allowed the therapy to slip through the cracks and thought that would have been a great angle to play up since both Chime, Shyanne and Maven could have benefited from the therapy session both apart and together.

A lot of moments could have been taken advantage of to help heighten the thrill in this book, one of which was when Maven proposed Chime joining the family business. I would have loved to see that unfold and combine the business aspect. Also, sharing the family dynamics once they all lived under one roof would have been really interesting and I’m sad that wasn’t highlighted since it was something Shyanne really wanted. It’s like the ending was rushed and I can’t get past that. I would love for author to remember that these books are fantasy worlds we all subscribe to not only entertainment but to escape our realities at times. Don’t rush through it, love it and take your time creating an enjoyable experience. Comedic relief, spicy sex scenes, rounds on passionate romance between lovers and sad moments that lead to happiness are just some of the feelings we love to experience in the many fictitious worlds we travels to during our busy adult days.

Enjoyed Mavens story

I enjoyed Mavens story, he really loved Chime. I like how Shyanne was so smart and loved on her dad. Chime had a lot to get over ans im glad they took the steps.

This was a cute and funny story. I appreciate the connections and the growth of the family and other stories interwoven.
