Publisher's Summary
Master Lecture Series: History of the Third Robot War is a future history lecture so epic it will knock your digital socks off! In this satirical Audible Original that turns The Great Courses on its head, Professor Tirannous Rexavier Shepard guides you through the multiverse-shattering events of the war, from the opening "pyew pyews" through Le Battle Finale. Master Lecture Series pays homage to the Sci-Fi and Fantasy genres with gut-busting (and circuit-bending) whimsy.
Recent Cutbacks takes parody and pop culture seriously. The company fuses humor, nostalgia, and lo-fi spectacle to create imaginative theatrical and digital comedy. Known for its hit shows Hold On To Your Butts; Fly, You Fools!; KEVIN!!!!! and Next Day Thrones, Recent Cutbacks has played to sold out audiences in New York City, Chicago, Indianapolis and more places across the US.

Very fun listen
Master Lecture Series ranks among the best audio dramas I’ve heard from Audible.
The story moves along quickly, frequently switching between a standard single narrator and full multi-cast sections. The story is funny and entertaining throughout, but its biggest strength is the pitch-perfect performance from an extremely talented cast.
The production features sound effects elements throughout, but not too much as to become a distraction.
Very enjoyable overall.

What a ride!
This had everything! Alien dinosaur professors awaiting tenure. A mystical aardvark. Sentient bowls of pudding. Digital ketchup. Everything! It was really big and really fun. And also kind of sweet? I loved it!

Cheesy yet True
The world is somehow a collection of blatant knockoffs and sincere. Things connect in ways that seem organic, and while the story of Olivia is rather... normal. The presentation of the setting, and the depth in how the world works makes it still exciting. You dont need to roll your eyes at Chosen ones when you got a cosmic tuning fork.

awkward and not funny
full of half baked pop culture parody, it combined all your favorite sci fi and fantasy stories and craps all over them in a boring and unfunny way. best thing about this audio content (I hesitate to call it book because I feel significantly dumber having listen to just the first half) is that it was free. don't waste your time

Can I give it zero stars?
I’ve taught 8th graders who could have written this only it would have been funnier.
I love sci-if. I love lecture series. I like satire. I’m okay with parodies if they are done right. I expected to find this at least mildly amusing. WRONG! Unrelentingly awful.
I hung in for about an hour, only because I was busy, listening wirelessly, and didn’t want to stop what I was doing to go find my phone and switch to something else. Finally got so disgusted I had to bail. Dead air was a vast improvement.
Oh, and the narration is amateurish.

A fun listen with laugh out loud moments.
I didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did. A fun few hours with great, some time ridiculous moments, that you can't help but laugh loud enough for every body around you to hear.
