Too short

Didn't realize it was only 2 chapters long. Very short story and not worth cost, but I've enjoyed the other Mary Poop in books and couldn't resist.

Travers and Thompson are an unbeatable team!

The timeless and colorful writing style of P.L. Travers, who captures life so perfectly in turn-of-the-century England (particularly through the eyes of the Banks children, Jane and Michael), is perfectly matched by the expressive and deliciously-delivered narration of Sophie Thompson! Sophie was absolutely made to narrate these books; her crisp and clean enunciation, coupled with her ability to accurately impersonate the variety of Travers' imaginative characters, engagingly transports young and old listeners alike through the mysterious and magical world of a most wondrous nanny and the people who reside at number 17 Cherry Tree Lane. Comforting, lavish and engaging, these books delivered by this writer/narrator team are everything one could ever want in a srory-telling experience!

P.L. Travers Final Poppins Story

This is a short story and not a full length book.
It clocks in at under 2 hours and therefore is not nearly as nuanced and detailed with all the minutia typically found in the full length novels.
Mary is more subdued this time around and the story is just a bit less fantastical then usual.
While I am not a huge fan of the series, I felt as if this was like a visit from a relative that you enjoy spending time with now and again.
It was very nice and did not overstay it's welcome.
If you enjoy the series, this is a nice addition.
Do note that it references events from earlier stories, and so, is not a good starting point.
