the best one!!!! I had been hesitant to listen to this series because it's not generally the type of mystery I normally find myself drawn to. I've been following Wayne (Matthews, NC) for a few years and so far his reviews have never steered me wrong. He has written some wonderful reviews about this series and one about this book. I encourage any listener to read his reviews about these books and then get them.

I loved it! Deserves 15 stars, maybe more!!

MARKED FOR MURDER is the 12th novel in the Shelby Nichols Adventures modern detective series by Colleen Helme. I've adored this series since listening to the first novel which is titled Carrots. To understand the series Carrots MUST be listened to first. I do not usually listen to or read novels that have a paranormal element, but this series which includes mind reading is a clear exception. Finding a similar series of novels is difficult. The closest is likely the Miss Fortune series by Jana DeLeon.

Most of the novels in this series are largely light and fun. MARKED FOR MURDER is a serious modern detective novel which contains some light and fun elements. As usual Wendy Tremont King does a great job of narration.

I recommend MARKED FOR MURDER and the other books in the Shelby Nichols Adventures series without reservation.

Another Great Shelby Nichols Adventure

Worth a credit? Absolutely! Colleen Helme does it again with more mystery and mayhem in this exciting installment of the adventures of Shelby Nichols.
With Ramos by her side, Shelby finds herself very busy with multiple mysteries to solve. From the first book, Carrots 🥕, this series will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Narration, as always, was perfect!

Wow, this one moved fast.

This is one of my favorites of the series. I have enjoyed the entire series but at times it was a bit too slow but Ms. Helme remedied that!
Married to an attorney, two teen kids, a mob boss friend/boss, an incredibly handsome hired killer (he’s more that that but I digress), consultant to the police department, friends getting married in a few days, oh and Shelby can read minds. Her life is a bit busy.
This one has a “secret admirer” and chimerism?
It was a great listen and so much was going on, not enough to be confusing but you lose track of your time and before you know it, it ends...with something we’ve been waiting for.
A whole lot of fun!
The reader, though not my favorite, is great with this series.

Like coming Home to all my favorite Characters!

I loved listening to this book, great story, great characters, great narration. I listened to this book on vacation, on the plane, at the hotel, back on the plane. Listening to the familiar characters, is so smoothing and relaxing, great way to take the roller skates off. I recommended your series to a mother daughter we met at the Hotel in Ecuador who were from Australia.
Colleen - Keep writing and telling great stories. Wendy - keep narrating all of Colleen's books with the voices of Shelby, Ramos, Uncle Joey, which means, Colleen you CANNOT kill them off!

I've read the entire Shelby Nichols series and this one is right up there with all the others. All of books are well written and the main characters are well developed. But probably the most important reason I continue to read and enjoy them is that they are so much fun to read /listen to!

Marked as a good book

Wow I really enjoyed this story! It was action packed from start to finish with a great plot, explosions gun fights and fire bombs. I just love the characters and the unusual situations they find themselves in. Colleen has a great style of writing that keeps the reader hooked even if this is the first book you have read or if you have read every book in this great series.
Shelby is looking forward to her friends wedding but when a unfortunate incidence thrusts her into the lime light, she gains a stalker with dangerous mind games on his mind. After a few close calls Shelby turns to Uncle Joey for help when the stalker start to leave her unwanted gifts and surprises. She also has to worry about her husband's co-worker who seems to be in some big trouble that somehow involves her husband. But when things start to impact on the wedding Shelby needs the help from both her cop friends and her mob friends to keep everyone alive.
The narrator was very good and has an easy listening style that makes the book enjoyable.

The wait was excruciating, but Audible finally released the audio! As a teacher, students would ask about my favorite book or my favorite author. Throughout the years this answer has changed and often included not just one favorite but several. When asked a few weeks ago, my answer was definitive and concise. Colleen Helme with her Shelby Nichols series is my all time favorite. Of course, Wendy’s performance brings Shelby and crew to life. I waited an extra 2 weeks so I could get the full Colleen-Wendy experience. It was worth the wait! Thanks again ladies!

Oh My Goodness!!!

Another fantastic ride with Shelby Nichols!!! I absolutely love these books and can't get enough! I could feel Shelby's frustration and mine grew as well dealing with more than 1 slimy character in this story. But Shelby has so much support and is so loved, she works through the bad stuff!! And then there's Ramos! Don't even get me started!! Wowsa!!! Do yourself a favor And Read this book. or better yet start the series if you haven't yet! Colleen Helme rocks, and Wendy Tremont King....magnificent narrator!!!❤❤❤❤❤

Another fantastic Shelby book

I absolutely loved this book. I had already read it when I was given the audible code by the author. I don't always like the narration as I find it hard when a lady does a man's voice and vice versa. That said Wendy Tremonti King narrated it brilliantly. I was really impressed with her rang of voices. The story is brilliant. I haven't read a bad one yet and doubt I ever will. Colleen Helme is a fantastic writer.
I'm this book someone is testing Shelby's "premonitions" and threatening her life and the lives of those she loves. Can Shelby find out who is doing it before someone gets killed? Also a judge is trying to blackmail Chris and Shelby is trying to find out who but with everything that's going on will she get answers in time. Awesome book, thoroughly enjoyed it!
