Publisher's summary

Twelve marks, twelve powers, and the deadly risk that the twelfth mark brings... Is having all that power worth it? What if the price is destroying the world?

Kenzie's 12 marks have caused her nothing but trouble since she was blessed with them. From getting her treated differently at school to getting her kidnapped by rebels, her marks have caused chaos in her life. When a familiar face shows up in the warehouse she is being kept in, Kenzie doesn't know who to trust or what to believe anymore. With time running out to escape and the threat of the rebel's plans looming over her, can Kenzie overcome these challenges?

Love and destruction come at great price. A price that is marked by pain.

Cliffhangers 😡😡

I freaking hate cliffhangers. Otherwise I like this series. I am so pissed with how it ended though. And I can’t listen to the next one till it comes out which might take awhile

not for everyone

this book follow the steriotipe of the damsel in distress to much for my liking even though the mc is potentially the biggest badass in the world. both the first book and this one are too fast pace for the mc to actually learn anything and come into her power to actually give a good fight to anyone. but this story has so much potential not realised that i find hard to put it down.
i leave any who read this with this book is good enaugh to keep me in the story but frustratea me to no end when a mc is acting all defenceless. she has proven multiple times that she is stronger then all the other character's combined that its a type of joke et this point.

The best!!

Great book, amaising narrator, can't wait for the next book! The plot is very interesting, and each carackter has a distinct personality, so you wont confuse Them. The MF is funny, has a great heart and a strong personality. Overall a great book

Love So Much!

Book two is just as good as Book one in this series. The characters and their interactions make me laugh and swoon. Let's keep going!

great listen

Not for a young crowd. There are explicit sex scenes with multiple partners. Good story though with a cliff hanger ending.

Weird

What happened in this book? The story lost something, and it was weird... the teacher is no longer a teacher, he becomes an enemy, a lover, a friend ... Friends have become lovers, by the way, everyone has seen lovers of all and everything is right? Suddenly a plumb line is the normal thing in the world, and everybody is happy about it.
Qhat happen with secret of the 12º mark? The power was used on the end of the book, but what that means for the story?
This second book is interesting, but isn’t so good as the first. I hope the next will be better

Love the ensemble narration

**Spoilers** Kenzie has been kidnapped and her men commit themselves to her further by finding different ways to infiltrate the rebels to rescue her.
Sides are more clearly drawn. Kenzie physically commits herself to East, Daniels, Locke and Logan. Unfortunately, their escape is temporary until the rebels, led by Alaric, attack the school to recapture her. Alaric attacks Kelsey & Ryan to force activation of her twelfth mark, and sends Kenzie, her boys, and Kells thru the opened portal to Ariziadia.
I really enjoyed the ensemble narration.

Great if you have no common sense

Awful! I didn’t love the first book but I didn’t hate it either. This book was terrible from the beginning! What is the point of having the most powerful character be a woman when she can’t do anything with it. How can she be a helpless victim when she is so powerful?! Then to keep falling for men who appear to have super betrayed her, I got more frustrated with every minute I listened. I wanted to crawl into this book and shake Mackenzie until she got some sense!
