Publisher's summary

Mango Bay, the latest novel in the Mango Bob series by Bill Myers. Laugh-out-loud funny, filled with zany characters living life in a sleepy beach town on Florida's west coast.

Take an unemployed computer hacker living in an RV on the beach in Florida, a cranky cat named Mango Bob, Oscar the wiener dog, a pot-smuggling granny, and a once-famous Hollywood movie star out to reclaim lost glory.

Put them all together in a clothing-optional trailer park, along with a clumsy meth cook and a larcenous park manager. Add in a budding romance, a slow boat chase up the Intracoastal waterway, and what do you get? Mango Bay!

Fun read.

I have truly enjoyed all three of the first Mango Bob books. I live in Englewood, Florida so it is very cool to hear him talk about my little town. Looking forward to the next books in the series. This is a light, fun read and you'll fall in love with Mango Bob. Englewood strong.

It Was Worth the Wait

Our family loved the first two books in the "Walker and Mango Bob" series. My wife and I started listening to them when we drove to work and back. Then our 11-year-old granddaughter caught wind of Mango Bob (the 1st one) one day and she became hooked. She started asking if she could listen to it with us. We all became addicted to the series.

We found ourselves listening to both of them together. More than once actually because we couldn't wait for the next one. The time we spent together was so special. It's rare to have something in todays world that 3 generations of a family enjoy doing together.

Well, our wait paid off! This is the best one yet! Myers has done it again. Creating an imaginative story including characters you can dislike, like, and yes even love. Walker once again finds himself caught up in another adventure, or two, or three that he really didn't see coming. For a 30 something guy who's esentially retired and living in a motorhome with his cat, he sure never gets to enjoy much peace and quiet.

And the Narration of Steele brings them to life. It's great that Myers uses the same narrator for his books. It makes it so easy to identify with the main character Walker.

So, get the family together as a group. Just like they did back when we were kids (nope, not telling you when that was), and enjoy some quality family time and be thoroughly entertained.

so many relatable places

fresh, not trashy at all. Grew up in many of the places described. Hope Audible adds more of the Mango Bob series.

This is the rubbish you end up with when people self publish.

I wanted to like this. I live in Florida, I was looking for stories about an easy going nomad and his adventures. Problem is, the author lacks talent. The plot was …ok, even if it was a bit Scooby Doo, but overall there is little creativity in the writing. The dialogue is stilted, the characters are wooden, and there are enough plot holes to strain spaghetti. Sadly, this is type of rubbish you get when someone self publishes.

As to the narrator: The slow pace. The poor character voices. That ridiculous laugh. It was too much!
