Publisher's Summary

"Behold I stand at the door, and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." (Revelation 3:20)

At the hidden center of man's being is the dwelling place of the triune God. It is such a private, intimate place that no one can intrude but Christ, and even he will enter only through an invitation of faith. Once the Spirit enters the core of the believer's heart and establishes residence there, man becomes a true child of God. But baptism, confirmation, receiving the sacraments, church membership, etc., mean nothing unless God has truly inhabited the soul.

In Man - the Dwelling Place of God, Tozer reveals what it truly means to have Christ within us - like leaving your old life behind, understanding the Bible, making godly choices, loving God for himself, Christian fellowship, and more.

Timeless Christian Literature

"Nothing that comes of God will minister to my pride or self-congratulation." Sentences like this and many more that leave you wanting to go deeper. If you take your time to listen and understand this could lead to a personal Christian revival for the reader. It did for me.

Essential Tozer

The role of the mature Christian in the modern world is told in that classic Tozer style that only he possessed. So gentle but unapologetically direct.

Great reminders about God, man and sin

Great discourse on who is God, who is man, and what is sin or rebellion against God. God creator of heaven and earth, almighty, all powerful, all knowing. Yet God still loves man in spite of his sinful nature. God wants to save us from the condemnation of sin and live inside us. This book explores that mystery and many falsehoods taught by society. Older while still very relevant today.

Amen

Delicious book. I felt what was said. If anyone has any idea how to make himself used more for God, this book will awaken him. Every last drop was scrumptious. Eat and be filled with the LORD. Amen.

Excellent

This is not for everyone. I would be the first to admit that point. However it is sound, well-defended, and presented in a manner that few books have done. It discusses the sensitive issues surrounding todays concepts of following Jesus Christ but exposes our shortcomings in the realm of total obedience. You will just have to read for yourself and you too can come to a conclusion wherever you are.

Wonderful truths

This series of Tozer’s talks and articles is challenging but inspiring, as are most of his works.
