Hold on to your Clergy Collar!

What a great change from the normal Washington cities featured in Kevin O'Brien's books, to have this set solely in one location outside Seattle! I was surprised to have learned this was all set in a Catholic school environment. Definitely not the standard I've been used to from this author. This was intense, driven, full of thought provoking questions and a twist you may not see coming. As a huge Kevin O'Brien fan, I could not stop listening to this audiobook! Finished in one sitting. It's that good. Put this one on your list and make sure to find books read by this narrator as well. He was brilliantly well spoken, easy to listen to, clear and concise.

Boring

I fell asleep listening to this audio book and didn’t miss anything important. Long and drawn out, the plot was ok. The narrator sounded robotic at first, but it seemed to go away or I got used to it. I’m not a fan of one person doing all the voices, I feel like they don’t always get them right.

The kind priest

The story just didn’t move along fast enough. U kind get the same idea what might have happened but the story just builds way too slowly

Even monasteries can hold dark secrets

Another masterful web of secrets and deceit woven by this stellar author. I believe this is my fourth book by O’Brien, and I have no way grown tired of him yet. The narration was on par too.

Another good one by Kevin O’Brien

I’ve come to rely on this author to provide a great story, and he did it again with this one! There were a few times when I thought it wasn’t entirely believable (I know, it’s fiction, but I need it to be realistic)… the police ruling deaths as accidents over and over. Overall, it was a great whodunnit!

Great narration.

Story was just ok. Some characters were just so ignorant and clueless. That took away from the overall storyline.

Entertaining…great narrator

Great storyline with twist and turns. Narrator was great! Enjoyed learning about the seminary life style. Found my new favorite author.
