However her wise friend Leah was suspicious. One day Emma went to meet Lenny and found his line of work was criminal. Lenny then became threatening and Leah cooked up a plan to get her out of there.
Leah knew about advertisements for mail order brides and got Emma to use that as her ticket to safety.
Henry Devine, out in Wyoming, was trying his hand at farming. With limited success but he had turned over a new leaf, following the Lord's ways and doing his best. His friend convinced him to find a wife to balance out his life.
Emma has her secret about Lenny and Henry had a dark past of his own. Will these two manage to reveal their secrets to each other? Will Lenny track down Emma and make trouble? Will faith and forgiveness forge the path to happiness.
