The whole series is just... Fun!
Great narration for all the quirky characters. Breene makes strong female characters fun and relatable. She balances irrational behavior and emotions with sound logic in a hilarious way. I haven't laughed outloud this much in all the 270+ books in my library. But also the world building and story telling is unique and fresh. I hope this series connects to her demon days and vampire nights series. That would be pretty amazing.

So I have listened to the full series to date Ans I cannot get enough of the story line nor the characters. I cannot stop laughing and am equally gripped. Can’t wait till the next book.

Laugh out loud

I love this series, not many stories make me laugh out loud but this one does. All the characters are likable , I can't wait for the next one!

I have enjoyed this series

First of all, let me say the narrator was great. I had the first book for a while before I played it and immediately sorry I waited so long. The whole series was truly enjoyable. The characters were diverse and very well defined. I laughed so hard at times and felt the stories flowed well. I have read and listened to many midlife stories and this one is my new favorite. I didn't feel like I was listening to the same book over again when getting to the next in the series and it has happened so many times before where I get bored. I hope there is another in this series for after this book, I felt at a loss of where to go next.
This particular book in the series was very well written and I thought the romantic scenes were too many, especially for the newly mated. What I really enjoyed was how the story came together and the characters played so well off each other. I like that the author brought in so many mythical beings and expanded on their history to where the reader wasn't left in the dark. I look forward to experiencing more from this author and maybe another in this series.
