Publisher's summary

When Evie found out she was knocked up with the local werewolf alpha's baby, she thought life couldn't get more complicated. Of course, she was wrong. It turns out she's a kitsune, and along with that rare gift comes untold powers and responsibilities - most of which she'd rather do without.

She's the sole guardian of a broken gate to the Underworld, and all sorts of monstrous creatures are oozing out of it - the kind that think humans are a light snack. As if that weren't bad enough, Evie has 48 hours to bring in a siren who's on the Supernatural Bounty Hunters' most wanted list and who started this whole fiasco in the first place. What could go wrong? Knowing Evie's luck, a whole hell of a lot.

Eighteen and up recommended listening age. Sexy times and cussing are sure to be found in this series.

Awesome sequel

Kate Marcin is just perfect for these characters. Lucia and Leia is an astonishing duo writing team. Magic Sight is just awesome on audio. Cass is still my favorite character out of this dynamic set of a cast lol.

Baby momma fights back

So, Evie gets pregnant from a one-night stand and she has magic. She is a kitsune. Book two picks up right where book one left off. The action is fast paced. The romance takes more of a back seat in book 2. They have acknowledged their love. Now the question is should they live together. You know our girl, Evie is being stupidly difficult.

There is the conflict of evil that is trying to enter our world. There is more fighting in this novel than in book 1 and it is fairly good. Evie and Brock are fighting the evil together with Evie running pell-mell into each conflict. I picture Brock running behind her screaming baby momma, baby momma must protect baby momma. There are great new characters introduced.
Cass gets a little of that sex action too, love him on his hover board.

Evie has the magic gifts that keep growing. She has shifting abilities, healing, sensing demons and does not leave paw prints. The authors are dumping so much on her I have to wonder what is coming up. This book does end in a cliff hanger.

To be continued...

Start with book 1 and be prepared to wait for book 3. Very little resolved in this one. I still enjoyed it but it is definitely a Part 2 of ? Narrator did a good job. I like the characters and the storyline but ended on a cliffhanger.

She really did me dirty with the Pokémon names

Good book, very original love it all around. The Pokémon references are awkward when they’re having sex though, but it’s funny as hell.

Funny, witty, and action packed.

I enjoyed the second installment of this series. I’m glad I stuck with it. While sometimes Evie can be a bit annoying I think Cas her sidekick now makes up for it, as well as some of the other characters.
The story can be intensive and have action packed fights at times. I thoroughly enjoyed the intense fighting scenes. The second book continues on with the saga with the Siren. Can the gang fight off the Siren before it’s too late? Check out the series to find out!

I listened to the audiobook and I enjoyed listening to the narrator. She does a great job portraying all of the characters. If you enjoy audiobooks I would recommend picking it up.

Great story

Really fun read with funny characters and a independent strong female lead, though I think molly was my favorite. Can’t wait to continue in the story and find out what happens

Too many loose ends

Like book one I was drawn in and captivated and held there throughout the length of the book ... which ended as abruptly as if you walked unsuspectingly through the door on the edge of the Earth and are now dangling out in space and clinging to the doorknob for dear life! I’m all for a good cliffhanger but this ends more like a soap opera with too many loose ends. Did the Author get tired of writing so she just ended the book? In 5 hours of listening time nothing is concluded! For the price of these books this should have been a whole story not just half of it - and what’s worse, the next book isn’t even available yet; and who knows if that’s going to conclude the story! I feel cheated, left with too many questions, and quite frankly a bit ripped off.
