AN ENJOYABLE & NICELY WEAVED AGE-GAP ROLLERCOASTER

When Collins was ten she used to watch handsome dashing Miceli and his beautiful wife at gatherings and, even then, envied what they had.. fast forward eleven years and life has not been kind to Collins or to the Head of the Daidone Family Miceli. He was an Assassin back in the day for the Syndicate of Families but his wife was targeted and killed leaving him feeling guilty. Collins and her brother Lucas are on the run, they’re constantly looking over their shoulders since their parent’s brutal murders and the lies and intrigue have blackened their father’s name. They’ve got targets on their backs too but, after a year of constantly moving about, time and money are fast running out. So Collins grasps at straws and lies and deceives to get the Tutor job Miceli advertised for his twelve year old daughter.. which comes with live-in guest house accommodation. All starts well.. but sizzling chemistry heats things up.. then suspicion and searches for truths.. and secrets are slow to be revealed. But somewhere protective and jealous feelings kick in.. and puzzle pieces and clues are put together to find the answers to Miceli’s wife and Collins parent’s murders. And, along their journey, there’s drama, suspense, danger, sex, beautiful highs and emotional lows and a wonderful happy ever after ending for the pair.

Worth a credit? Yes, it’s a well-written, very enjoyable, age-gap romance (nineteen years) and a slow-burn as they both try to resist the other in a dance of attraction, deception, drama, intrigue, trust, lust, steam, family, romance and love. With strong dual POV narration by Kira and Mason making this a very addictive and enjoyable listen.

Easy listen not to much drama. I did have a hard time feeling a real connection between the 2 characters.
