Where was the editor

This book was great and I loved the voice of the narrator, but with all the repeating and skipping made this terrible. I wish they would fix it.

Overall good...with a few glitches

This book was short and sweet. It was a very cute story with relatable and likable MC’s. The narrator was new to me and he did a great job, however I don’t know if it was my just copy or not but I had a few times where words and one time a chapter would repeat itself. This credit was given to me in exchange for an honest review.

Trigger Warning: Lover/Boyfriend Abuse

It happend slowly over the years. First stating that past friends were not good for you. That your parents only tolerated your presence at holidays. That working your palry job was taking up time that I needed you. I gave you everything. Don't you want to make me happy? It was textbook. When a beating went too far, and finding a dead body in his apartment would not be good for his career, he took Ty to the emergency room. After answering questions, he escorted the officers to the hospital entrance. Ty was barely awake, and hurt everwhere. This last beating nearly killed him. The next one would. Ty pulled the IV free, and sneakily left his hospital room. Waking days later, in a different hospital room, Ty realized he was safe in his hometown. Until the local sheriff stated that he was reported as a Missing Person. All eyes would be looking for him... Narrator Max Christian has a gift for bringing the tension. In one paragraph, all is calm, and the next has the audience on high alert. For a short story, he works all the feels.

Sweet second chance

This is a sweet second chance/friends to lovers. I wish we got a little more of the back story and I feel like somethings were a little to easily resolved but overall it was a good listen with some slight tech issues with repeating etc. Narration was done well.

Tyson & Elliot's Second Chance

I really enjoyed this addition to the series. Everything that Tyson went through broke my heart and I was so happy when he escaped. Tyson and Elliot are truly a beautiful couple and I'm so glad they got a chance to be together. Elliot is incredibly patient and exactly what Tyson needs to heal and move on from his abusive past. The narrator was very good with the characters and with the story. I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audiobook.

Tyson and Elliot

Tyson's amazingly strong and very broken. He's endured a decade of abuse and has to find his way past his demons back to himself. Elliot is stoic and has trouble communicating, but he loves Ty deeply. He's not perfect, he screws up but he's so afraid of losing Ty. There are a few heart-racing moments as well as plenty of spicy ones. Terrific ending. Audiobook: The narrator did a decent job although he seemed to be rushed and jumped from one scene to another without pausing so at times I didn't know that there was a change. While I quickly caught on it was a bit distracting. The editing needed work as there were LOTS of times where there were repeats of words, phrases, sentences or even whole paragraphs that are NOT in the book. It was disappointing that the quality wasn't what I expected and I think the author deserved better.

I wanted to love it...

I was intrigued by the idea of this story but unfortunately it fell a little flat for me. There were some repeated passages and skips in the narration so that made it hard to concentrate. It was just OK for me. I'm hoping the next book in the series pulls me in.

enjoyed it

Good start to introduce a new series. The story addresses such an important issue of domestic abuse that I would have liked to see more of Ty's road to recovery. Max Christian did a reasonable job of narrating the book. There were a couple of times I couldn't tell which character was speaking and they sounded younger that I would have expected but it's an acceptable performance. There were a couple of instances with editing issues (repeated text), although I am not sure if this is with the manuscript or the narration. Overall though, 'Made for You' has good pacing and interesting characters and I would happily listen to it again.

So much emotions

This audiobook broke my heart. I hate hearing of anyone going through domestic violence, and to think Ty went through it for ten years. Really broke my heart, I just want to hug him and never let go while at the same time murder Max. I'm happy he found his friends and family again and was able to heal. Him and Elliot was truly made for each other. I loved watching them fall in love again, seeing Ty heal and learn to be happy again. J P Oliver did this story theme justice and I enjoyed it. First time listening to Max Christian and he was ok mostly, however he did give each MC their own voice and that was distracting sometimes not knowing who was talking. I was given this audiobook by the Author and voluntarily left this review

So many feels!

Made For You by JP Oliver is the first book in the For You series and this one is one of those emotional ones you don’t forget. Any kind of abuse in relationships are the toughest to break free from but that’s what happens to Ty after he lands in the hospital by the hands of his abusive and possessive boyfriend Max. He barely escapes the Denver hospital when he’s discovered off the side of the road weeks later and wakes up in his hometown. What should be relief and triumph, Ty realizes he has a long way to fully recover from the horrific ordeal he’s endured in the last 10 years. With the help from his brother and friends he was forced to cut ties with, Ty slowly goes back so some kind of normal. What he doesn’t expect is the strong feeling of want and need from Eli, his childhood best friend and crush. Eli always cared about Ty, so when he finds out all the horrid details, he’s determined to build Ty up and love him hard. As their emotions start to surface and they finally get together, it’s only when Ty’s past comes back and threatens his new life. This is a first Max Christian listen for me and he did good. I’d like to hear more from him and see his narration progress. This isn’t my first JP Oliver book and it won’t be my last! 4.5 stars for Made For You by JP Oliver. Happy listening all!

Great story

I loved the story and continued to the end but the Audio needs a great amount of additional editing. But I would say the Audio did not detract from the story overall . I can not be sure but either a chunk of the book was missing or the plot about the burglar was dropped without resolution. A bit more research into the effect of domestic abuse may have enhanced the story told.

3.5 stars

There is nothing wrong with this story, but there is also nothing new about it either. I felt like I had read a similar story a couple of times before. Nevertheless, it is well written and Tyson (Ty) and Eli are both likeable main characters who fit well together. Max Christian narrates clearly, but quite quickly. Paragraph breaks and character POV changes aren't always clear and I had a job sometimes figuring out whether Ty or Eli was speaking. I also feel a bit more editing would be helpful as a few times words were repeated.

Wonderful

I loved it listening to this book, Tyson and Eli were inseparable while they grew up but they lost contact after college. When Tyson returns to Harlan in a sorry state, all Eli wants to do is protect him.
