Title -machine learning but the book covers RDBMS

I need my money back on this book. Purchased because of the title - machine learning but the content inside covers RDBMS

Awesome book

This book has helped in clearing up some of my obviousness to machine learning. However, the chapter on decision trees and gradient boosting needs some more content. Nevertheless, awesome book

Must have

This was a very good introduction. Would have loved a bit more detail in each section, and the python appendix at the end is a waste of space, but other than that it was good.

Love it

Deliberately written for the non-specialist, book provide a deliberately high-level summary of the main areas and specialties in machine learning. It is non-technical, and therefore ideal for the corporate executive or undergraduate student

Good one

Good book to get introduced into Machine Learning. You won't pick up any useful technical skills but you will have a good general understanding of Machine Learning. I would use this book as the first stepping stone into Machine Learning.

Excellent

Overall I am very pleased with this book. Previously I have been overwhelmed with the math and this helped draw me back out a few steps to better understand the concepts.

Learning a lot

This is the first Machine Learning book I’ve listen that didn’t rocket right past me in the third chapter. The author knows their stuff, but doesn’t mind slowing down and explaining what it all means in a well thought out way.

Great ideas

he more you hew to the "normal" the better your recommendations will meet your expectations. Machine Learning tends to standardize our likes and dislikes, reinforcing our already formulated ideas.

Great book

It is not a "how to do machine learning" book. Anyone who has done or is interested in doing machine learning programing need not look here for instruction

excellently written

This is an excellently written book about a relatively new concept utilizing Artificial Intelligence to program machines for the purpose of doing something that would be in the realm of a human activity, actually introducing the concept of learning done on the part of a machine, how it is done, it's capabilities, limitations, challenges to mankind, machine learning

excellent introduction

This is an excellent introduction to machine learning for anyone but will likely be more satisfying for those who may be familiar with computer programming and basic statics.
