Publisher's Summary

It's a life of high-profile drama for the powerful Murdochs of Chesterton, Virginia, and they just keep the scandals coming.

Evan Murdoch hoped things had finally settled down in his life. But now he's caught between two feuding women: his pregnant fiancée and his recovering alcoholic wife, who's fighting their divorce with every dirty, seductive trick she's got. But even that doesn't compare to the dangerous secret Evan's harboring - one that could send a Murdoch to jail for a very long time.

Party boy brother Terrence Murdoch is recovering from his devastating car accident. But his relationship with his journalist girlfriend may not survive, especially when she reconnects with her family, her church, and her ex.

After the attempt on his life, half-brother Dante Turner lays low but not for long. A mysterious young woman may be the answer to his vengeful prayers when it comes to bringing down the Marvelous Murdochs, and this time he's going for the jugular.

Too much drama

The book series is okay. I enjoyed the 1st and 2nd book but the last book felt over the top with unrealistic characters and too much drama. I like my books to end and after reading 3 books this series will continue but I am done.

Shelly & The Murdochs Never Disappoint

I couldn't wait for the next installment of this series. Who shot Dante? Will Evan ever be able to marry Lila or will he stay married to his wife? Is Terrance cutout to be someone's boyfriend? Well I got my answer, but I now have to wait for the next installment to answer a whole new set of questions. The Murdoch's drama is always interesting and Simi Howe always does a great job of narrating!

INCOMPLETE

I ENJOYED LISTENING TO THE FULL SERIES, WAS A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED AT THE END OF LUST AND LOYALTY DUT TO THE FACT THAT EVAN WAS TAKEN IN CUFFS AND TO NOW NEVER KNOW WHAT WAS TO HAPPEN NEXT. I TRULY WANTED DONTE' TO GET HIS BECAUSE OF THE WAY THAT HE ATTEMPTED TO GO FOR THOSE WHO HAD DONE NOTHING TO HIM BUT TRY TO ACCEPT HIM FOR WHO HE WAS, UNTIL HE SHOWED AND PROVED THAT HE WAS INDEED THE OUTCAST OF THE FAMILY. OTHER THAN THAT INCOMPLETENESS. THE SERIES WAS GOOD ALL AROUND.

This review is written before finishing the book

What disappointed you about Lust and Loyalty?

I understand the narrator is different than the first two books but could she at least try to stay in character with the other books? Why would Shelly allow her to change Lelia's name like that in the LAST Book?? Very frustrating.

How could the performance have been better?

The narrator was boring and didn't try to imitate the last narrator. She didn't emphasize the voices or make an effort to differentiate the men and women voices. Couldn't even tell Evan's ex wife was white, she sounded just like Lelia and Paulette. Bland and boring.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment.

I really love this series I just wish they would keep the original narrator they change it every book and it's just not narrated the same as the first book but I still love the story line.

Horrible Ending

The ending ruined this book series...hopefully it's a 4th book coming that picks up where this one left off; at it's injustice! CJ, Sherise and Dante were the one's to hate in this book.
