Publisher's summary

She loved him. He betrayed her. Nothing is what it seems.

One touch can change everything though, and it did. The minute he showed back up in her life, all deals were off. He touched her and she melted. He promised her everything, and she wanted everything. The question is: is he her salvation or her destruction? Love. Hate. Passion. Danger. It's about to get hot in here . . .

I can't wait to see how it ends!

I love diving into another Lisa Renee Jones series and I had been waiting for Lucifer’s Trilogy to be completely released. Then I decided to grab it in audio for the ultimate experience since the always amazing Jason Clarke and Andi Arndt narrated this story. Let me say, this was just what I was in the mood for. The story has tension and suspense - a second chance, romantic suspense that will keep you guessing. Luke (Lucifer) and Ana have so much tension between them with the events of the past keeping them from giving into the red hot chemistry that brews between them. All 3 parts of this story are high on fast paced action, steamy tension, mystery, and quite a lot of tension breaking spice.

They were once in love, but life and tragedy tore them apart. When threats from an unknown enemy thrust them together, they must learn to trust each other again. Their heat and passion ignites while they track down the source of their trouble and uncover truths from their shared past. Their journey to find a mysterious package reveals ghosts - both dead and alive - and they discover that they may have a future together after all.

I have always loved Lucifer in the other stories he appears in and was one of two characters I wanted to have their own stories. He was every bit of the good guy with dark edges I’ve always known him to be. Ana wasn’t what I expected, but I liked her better for it. She was just as skilled as the guys, but more emotionally vulnerable that you might expect. It made her a bit of a paradox at times, but honestly she worked for the story. I wished they had worked it out a bit sooner and had more of an opportunity to work together as operatives in the story. There is more focus on their past and the rocky dynamic that it created between them rather than the suspense plot. While I really enjoyed this trilogy, it doesn’t top my favorite of LRJ’s stories. Overall, I felt like this was an excellent addition to the expansive Walker Security series and sincerely hope to get more in the future, particularly Adam’s HEA.

3.5 stars

Story picked up more in this installment. Characters are still interesting but the whole “I don’t know if I can be with you” and “killed my brother” is getting annoying. Narration is excellent as always by Andi and Jason. Moving on to the next installment.

Story & narrators are great, but Ana drove me NUTS!

The story line is great. Narrators are great - ANYTHING with Jason Clarke is good! He could make reading the phone book sound erotic. having said that, ANA drove me NUTS! Her feelings vacillated multiple times a day - especially feelings toward Luke (Lucifer). Her lack of self-preservation at times was nonexistent. She frustrated me to no end. I’ve downloaded Luke’s Revenge and will finish the series, but I really hope she makes a decision to stick by Luke and stops trying to be a one man show when it comes to her self-preservation.

The Suspense is EVERYTHING!!!!!!!

OMG!!!!!! I wish I had waited for all three of these books to come out before starting them. The way each book ends and the wait for the next book to come out is killing me!!!!!! AMAZING is all I have to say!!!!!

On to the next…soon…

This was HOTTT! Lucifer/Luke/Jason’s “Ahh yeah…” getting that ‘special treatment’ in chapter 14 🔥 The ending was super cool, cliffhanger, yeah, but I get why it had to be put in a 3 book series.

Superb work by Maxine, Jason was top notch, thanks for the great work!

Wow, over too soon!

On to book three! This series has been so good. Book two kept me on the edge of my seat, breathing heavily waiting for the next move to be made. Hotness between Anna & Luke, made me sweat, but the suspense? It was off the hook. I still haven’t figured out what the heck is going on! Next book!

Wanted to choke the female lead 🙄

The story was ok, and I would've given more stars...but the indecision and repetitive whining made me roll my eyes way to much. The constant back and forth( I hate you, but don't leave me) along with throwing his past in his face( you're a killer, you left me) made want to punch her on the throat. The story is decent with the intrigued, suspense, and mystery if you can get pass the whining FL

Redundant Story

I LOVE Andi Arndt and Jason Clarke, so their performance was spectacular. But just like the previous Walker Security series, this author stays beating ONE issue to a pulp. The back and forth about “you killed my brother” “I’m a monster” “I hate you” “I love you” “you left me” is INFURIATING and boring. And the line “his mouth closes over mine” was said at least 20 different times. Please find a new way to say that they have started kissing. I once again feel like this series could have been one book, just some stretching out of a tired plot line and angst that becomes ridiculous as opposed to titillating. Even these fantastic narrators can’t save the lackluster story.

Stop re-hashing this drama between Luke & Anna

I’m reading book 3 now and the author is still beating a dead horse. At the end of this one I thought Luke and Anna were done whining back and forth but no . . . Andi and Jason are such good narrators but they couldn’t even overcome this stupid ping pong game. I like little angst so when the main characters get together it is sweeter but this story just made them look so stupid especially being super at their jobs how can they be this wishy washy. Anyway, I loved most of the Walker Security stories but this one sucked.
