Note: for 18 and up due to strong language and sexual situations.

Arianna Anderson has a secret: She isn't what she appears to be. To her close friends, she is Leslie, a fun hairdresser, but to the international world, she is a powerhouse. She hides behind the name Leslie because she knows that Damian Maxwell is everything that she wants and can never have. He plays with women's emotions, and she will not be one of his many conquests. So, for the last year, she has lied about who she really is, tiptoeing around the feeling that she has and the look of desire that is present in his gray eyes.

Damian can't get Leslie out of his mind. Her body calls to every male cell in his body, and there is nothing that he wants more than to dive headfirst into her lush body, but she is everything that he doesn't want, or so he keeps telling himself.

He loves the fight in her, and he wants nothing more than to forget all the reason he has to stay away from her. But one night, it all changes. One night, he sees her in a light that will change them both forever. In that moment, they learn that it's not what a person takes when he steal your love, it's what you give.

I Enjoyed It

This is the second book in this series and I hate to admit it but I missed the first book so having started with this one at times I admit to being a little confused. That said I enjoyed the story Loving a Thief, but I had difficulty connecting with the characters at first and I thought the beginning of the story seemed rushed. Arianna's character was confusing too, but then I realized that she was playing the part of three different people.

Damian obviously has demons to deal with, that's something he'll have to face and deal with if he ever wants to move on with his life. I don't want to give spoilers so I don't want to say too much more about that or how he gained the title of 'Thief' but the more I read about Arianna (aka Ari, Leslie) and Damian as they edged towards making a commitment, something they've both resisted vehemently so far - to do this they had to overcome their preconceived notions about each other, the more real the characters felt. The storyline, once I got into it flowed quite well it was fast-paced, suspenseful and hot, with many surprises I didn't see coming.

Overall I have to say I may have enjoyed this one more if I had listened to the first book, but that said I was able to pick up the story and enjoyed listening to the narration by Samantha Lace who did an excellent job with the characters and the story.

I was given this audiobook as a gift and am voluntarily writing my review.

Steal me

Had me wanting to look for a thief in the day time with a flashlight 🔦 I was drawn in from the word go. Can’t trust people and being blood does not make a difference…

Nice Short Story!

I was a couple chapters in before I realized this was book two in a series. Storyline made it easy to fill in the blanks and I enjoyed the read. I will gladly go back and purchase the first book.
