Loving a Caveman is a short story of a young woman, who is to be married. Not understanding what is to happen, and not happy with her chosen husband. She soon realizes things are not as they may seem.

Good quick story to pass the time.

Short and Steamy

This is a quick steamy read. It's definitely unique and was fun being brought to the stone ages. There's a good level of detail.
I've read a few books by this author and, while this isn't my favourite of them, I have enjoyed them.

Jackie Marie's narration is great.

Good book

This was a quick listen, but still managed to show great attention to detail and to make the main character seem real and not one dimensional. It is set in a time that it is kind of unusual to see stories written in, which is nice as well.

Hot Quickie

At first I was nervous but the author did a great job building up to the ceremony. She did a great job with the story because I was never sure what was going to happen. Ending was awesome. Nice steamy quickie!

A surprisingly good short historical romance

This is a very short romance (34 minutes) but the story is surprisingly complete and enjoyable. It is set in the Stone Age (AKA, the Paleolithic period) that in Europe predated 10,000 years ago. (Think of the time period of the 2018 movie “Alpha” about a boy and a wolf). I personally took plenty of college classes in anthropology, and the lifestyle of the characters in this story is very accurate for people living in France and Spain about 20,000 years ago. I love that the author actually took the time period seriously instead of resorting to caveman cliches. This is a high quality coming-of-age romance that enriches the small existing subgenre of historical romances set during the Paleolithic period.

The story follows a young woman Mira who is set to marry a young man named Regus who she has only met once before. Their people live in caves next to a large river, and men who can successfully hunt to feed their families are highly acclaimed. The story follows the interesting pre-marriage rituals and her wedding night. Mira is a virgin, and Regus probably is, too. It is a tender, respectful, and steamy wedding night between Mira and Regus. I was quite pleased with the high quality of the writing. FYI, the story is completely told from Mira's first person perspective.

The narrator is quite good. She has a pleasant Midwestern accent, which is as fine for the story as any other because no one knows what Paleolithic accents were like. I immediately connected with Mira, as voiced by the narrator. Her voice sounds like that of an 18-year-old. For some reason, I couldn’t get very immersed in the love scenes, maybe because it sounded like a teen girl was reading it. Or, maybe the pacing wasn’t quite right in the love scenes. I’m not sure.
Still I recommend this to anyone who wants to try an unusual historical romance.

That was.... interesting.....

Well this book was hilarious in its absurdity. I'm really not sure what else to say. The sex scene wasn't even that good. It may have been better with a different narrator. Jackie's voice just felt completely wrong for this story. It was too high pitched and honestly a bit monotonous.

I really liked this coming of age Caveman tale. It was a quickie yet still did a good job of helping you connect with the characters. I thought it was a fun read with some good steam.

Okay story!

This was an okay historical story about a young cave girl who was about to get married to another caveman. Her intended was picked for her so she had no choice. She knew him from the past and she was afraid she wouldn't enjoy their marriage. This book told the steps the elders put her through to prepare for this union. It described what happened when the united and what happened when he took her back to his cave. It was a little steamy and a pretty quick listen. I wish we got to hear a little more about the new couple's relationship and life together
