Young. Beautiful. Idealistic. Proud. Gigi was raised outside the Andrade clan, but it has left her with an ache she cannot deny. When she's invited to her brothers' weddings, she refuses at first, then changes her mind and attends without telling anyone. She won't let herself love them, but she can't stay away. It's a recipe for disappointment and heartbreak...especially when she throws herself at her brother's best friend, Kane.

Kane Sander

Should have used the same narrator from previous books

The book itself is fantastic but with this book they should have used the same narrator from the previous books. This one was horrible. Considering it’s based on an Italian type setting I have never heard Italian people speak with a southern accent. It was really a narrative disappointment. Should have done better

Not my favorite

This book didn’t meet my expectations. I didn’t like the narrator at all. Gigi was immature. I had to grab my kindle and see her age again. Because a 25 yr old would not act that way. I love Ruth’s books a lot and I have have love this series until this book. And Yes I’m going to keep reading her. It’s my option and my personal taste. Nothing to do with the author. She is a great writer.

Great story, horrible narration!

Loved the story. It was a great wrap up of the series. However, having Italian characters speak with a Southern accent and British speaking characters sound like cartoons really took away from the story. It was distracting.

Great series

Would you consider the audio edition of Loving Gigi to be better than the print version?

I love the story line but the performance voice was not good.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Gigi, she had a rough start in life but made the best of what she had.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

I love listening to audio books, the performance voice was nasally.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed and cried while listening to this book.

WHY

First of all, as many others have said, why is there a different narrator for the last book in the series, and more importantly, why doesn't she pronounce Edinburgh correctly? I'm only about half way through but that is driving me CRAZY. It's Edin-boro. Not Edin-burg. Also, there are a bunch of characters that are supposed to have a variety of European accents (namely the heroine, who is Italian) but sound like they are from the midwestern United States. Honestly, if this was a book about people from the midwest or even if everyone was American it probably wouldn't be as bad. She's not a terrible narrator, just not good for this book.

That being said, the story isn't great. Maybe it will pick up, but it seems like an afterthought to the rest of the series. I feel like Gigi's character could have been eliminated entirely and the series could have ended with the last book.

Narrator

Narrator makes the men sound like chipmunks. Should have used the narrator from the previous stories. It would have made this book more enjoyable. It was hard to get through.

The narrator couldn't be worse. Awful.

I've purchased all 5 in this series. I love the stories and characters. This narrator made this book nearly impossible to enjoy. Not only were the different voices grating and awful, they were not consistent with the characters and other books. I can't express how disappointed that I am with the narration. I wished I would not have purchased the audible version and just read the book.

Not a fan of this narrator 😕

If I buy any more of this series, it will be in book form. It is easier to skip ahead that way....the narrator was awful! All the women sounded like bubble headed bimbos, and while some of the men's voices were ok, The voice of Alessandro resembled a cartoon character. I would much rather have someone just straight up read from the book than be irritated by the voices.

poor narration

The book out shines the audio version. The narrator has eliminated all ethnic accents. British educated main Character sounds like she grew up in Cleveland. Italian uncles have changed their accents to sound S if they were born in Alabama!. Save your money.
