Publisher's summary

Gigi Bassano

Young. Beautiful. Idealistic. Proud. Gigi was raised outside the Andrade clan, but it has left her with an ache she cannot deny. When she's invited to her brothers' weddings, she refuses at first, then changes her mind and attends without telling anyone. She won't let herself love them, but she can't stay away. It's a recipe for disappointment and heartbreak...especially when she throws herself at her brother's best friend, Kane.

Kane Sander

Sexy, rich, loyal, protective. He shouldn't want her. But he will. He should stay away from her. But he won't. Love doesn't follow anyone's rules. Deny it. Run from it. Love always finds a way.

Should have used the same narrator from previous books

The book itself is fantastic but with this book they should have used the same narrator from the previous books. This one was horrible. Considering it’s based on an Italian type setting I have never heard Italian people speak with a southern accent. It was really a narrative disappointment. Should have done better

Narrator

Narrator makes the men sound like chipmunks. Should have used the narrator from the previous stories. It would have made this book more enjoyable. It was hard to get through.

The narrator couldn't be worse. Awful.

I've purchased all 5 in this series. I love the stories and characters. This narrator made this book nearly impossible to enjoy. Not only were the different voices grating and awful, they were not consistent with the characters and other books. I can't express how disappointed that I am with the narration. I wished I would not have purchased the audible version and just read the book.

Horrible narrator

I LOVED the other books but n the series and was excited to hear GiGi’s story. It was so hard to listen to. The narrator was awful. The uncles were always so large with their Italian accents and this narrator gave them American accents but also a type of whining. I wish I didn’t waste a credit. I won’t buy another audiobook with this narrator.

The story was ok not up to the rest of the series. It was almost like it was written in a hurry. Books 1-4 worth the price.

narrator is horrible

This was really painful to listen to. I was spoiled by the original narrator, who did a great job with accents and kept voices consistent throughout all the previous books. I will finish it but she certainly makes it less enjoyable.

Loving Gigi

Loving Gigi. I have read quite a few of Ruth Cardello books. They are quite good but almost in every single one a women in ordinary circumstances meets a billionaire is a variety of ways, and then the guy falls for the woman who in most cases is a working woman in various situations. It goes he spends most of the book convincing her he is worthy of her. I am getting a bit over some of these women, most act like spoiled brats. In this particular book Gigi acts like this, no guy would put up with the way she and women in the other books behave. The are given so much lives of luxury, helicopters, apartments and so on but the men still have to beg to be accepted until the end. Some have a bit more interest in them but others I skip on a bit particularly the sex scenes which are very repetitive.

terrible narrator

the main female character was extremely whiny but overall I could get past that....but the voice for this character sounded like she belonged in middle school. the aunt's and uncles who are Italian sounded nothing they didn't have an accent. at times, they sounded like a really old couple and other times like munchkins from wizard of oz. the previous narrator did a much much better job. if you need to get through this book because you need to see the series through....read it and take my word, skip the audio version. the aunt's were wise sounding in the previous book but these women sounded like what you would imagine and "old biddy"....not wise at all.no not the welcoming warm women from previous books. I never write reviews, but this was bad to me.
