Moves too fast

I like the idea of the story and the characters are good but it all moves too fast. The character development with their relationships is lacking. It is a fast pace book which is good but the romance build could be better.

Just really bad

I couldn't get through the first chapter. It was so terribly written it was distracting.

Where’s the last book?

It’s been 4 years since book 2 was published here on Audible. Where’s the last book of the trilogy? Don’t leave us hanging!

Outstanding

I really enjoyed book one but this book took me even further in the adventure. The narration made me feel as if I was right there with Cass and her 6 pirates as they fought for love and everything they believed in.
I only wish book 3 was in audible already so I could finish the series.
I think that Dante is my favorite pirate even though I would love to have all 6. Lol

Fantastic

The sequel to Escape the Sea is electrifying. Just like in the previous one, there is a lot of action, adventure and some secrets being revealed. The trend of polygamous relationship between the characters is confirmed in this book. This book is also very curtoo.

Loved Book 2, big improvement to Book 1!

I thought G Bailey did a great job with the follow-up to Escape the Sea in her pirates series. Definitely take me as long to get sucked into this book and into the narration. I really loved getting to know more about the pirates and I definitely got hit in the feels in this book at every turn. I was sad to see some characters treated the way they were, especially her dad, but this story isn't unicorns and rainbows. The dark parts make it a good story and believable. I also loved the dragon part, cannot wait to listen to Book 3 with everything coming together. I liked the tenacity shown throughout the different trials/obstacles put int the group's way. Also loved the sneaking around the castle and the really raw and tender moments some of the burlier guys showed our MC. I did Awww at a couple places and couldn't keep a smile off my face at some touching scenes.

I thought the narration was spot on throughout the entire book. I think Everly's sections were as strong as I would have liked (she seemed sometimes whiny) but everything else was perfect. Will make for an engrossing listen (and will make me want to drive more, since that is where I listen to the majority of my audiobooks haha). Can't wait for Book 3 on audio, will definitely help with my longer commutes to and from work ❤️
