Love

I loved this book. I disagree completely with the only other review for this audiobook- it came out 2 days ago. This is a tarzan story. I think it is given that parts will be unbelievable. I found it to be the most “believable” tarzan story. It is set in our time. It was a beautiful story. It had both heart warming and heartbreaking moments. It was also was showing the importance of conservation. I listened to it in a day. I had to know how it would all end.
The narration was very enjoyable. Who doesn’t love Shane East?😊

Really loved the book

It was sweet, intriguing and magical... I loved the feeling of innocence that filled me while I listened... just like a child who listens to a story for the first time. And Shane East is the best!

And amazingly well thought out retelling!

I loved this book from start to finish and Shane East's acting is amazing. He has such a wide range of accents and tones, it really helps bring the story to life. I loved the magic and the wild love Thorne and Eden share from the beginning. It had a lot of similarities to Tarzan with more adult themes. I would recommend this to anyone who loves a wild man who finds love with his Jane.

5 Stars for Eden and Thorne!

I absolutely loved this book! It captivated me from the very beginning with Thorne's family. I really liked that he was able to communicate with the animals and how much he cared for them all because they were his family as much as his true parents were. Eden was such a wonderful character and I loved how the relationship between them developed. She was very aware of how new things were to him and didn't let him push too much to make sure he really wanted what he did. Emma really knocked it out of the park with this one.
Lucy Rivers and Shane East really did an amazing job with Eden and Thorne, bringing so much emotion, humor and more to their performances. They were the perfect voice actors that were chosen to bring Emma's story to life.

Very enjoyable Modernized Tarzan with Mysticism.

Glad I used the credit. It was interesting how the author’s writing brought in mysticism and charma along with destiny to develop the story line.

Some of the comments from some of the other reviewers seemed to miss this point.

I had sorted a search for Shane East as a narrator and thought this would be an interesting listen based on details, and I wasn’t disappointed.

Wonderful retelling!

The author did an amazing job retelling Tarzan while making it modern and exciting. I truly felt the happiness and heartaches of the characters.. including the animals. Worth the credit! And well ... Shane East❤️

Great take on Tarzan!

I loved this book. There were times I wished there was more emotion and personality from Eden but overall, it was an amazing love story. One that made you feel a many range of emotions. Highly recommend.

disappointing

I really wanted this book to be good, but it's just so disappointing. The first female human he sees, he is like 'mate!' There isn't a good build up or development of their relationship. Additionally, the writing feels so forced. I found myself rolling my eyes too many times. I do not recommend.

The book Uncivilized does this much better. I recommend listening to that book instead.

Loved Tarzan retelling!

This modern retelling had my attention from the first page to the end. I loved the romance between Thorn and Eden; it was beautifully told. I felt several emotions throughout the story. Both Shane East and Lucy Rivers were fantastic!

Just not quite right

This is hard story to get into because it’s so far fetched and kind of.. well dumb. You’ve got a kid raised in the jungle by animals and you also get the point of view of the gorilla raising him. Like she talks about how’s he different from her gorilla babies, the gorilla siblings have names etc. Some writers are good at making fantasy scenarios believable. Ms Castle is not one of them. Also The hero doesn’t have many qualities that would attract a normal person. So the romance part was uncomfortable. Maybe it gets better. I made it to chapter 9.
