Publisher's Summary
Sierra Blake has returned home to Mill Hollows, Virginia. She's lost her job as a hotel marketing executive. She knew getting romantically involved with the son of the franchise owner was a bad idea. Turning down his marriage proposal left Sierra updating her resume and needing a change of scenery. Returning to the small football-loving town located in view of the Blue Ridge Parkway is definitely a change of scenery from the sultry heat and water sport enthusiast city of Tampa.
Wes Carter is new to Mill Hollows and stirring up more than sediment and rocks for geology sampling upon meeting the beautiful Sierra Blake at the Salted Caramel Cafe.
Fall in Virginia isn't the only chill in the air. The last time Sierra saw her younger sibling, Roxie, the two didn't exactly leave each other on the best of terms. Then again, they've butted heads since they were teenagers. Sierra and Roxie need each other more than either will admit.
More than sweet treats and a perfect salted caramel latte abound in this cozy romance that will leave you craving sweater weather.

My Partner Loved This
I am not a huge fan of the romance category but my girlfriend is. She loved "Love at the Salted Caramel Café" when she listened to it. In fact, she enjoyed it so much that she didn't so much as fidget for the time she was focused on it -she thinks that's her personal record for sitting still. She says she found the story to be compelling and interesting and that the narrator really brought it to life. She liked the way things ended and felt that is was, on balance, an uplifting and happy tale. She would definitely read Angie Ellington's work in the future. Please note: We got a review copy of this material but that doesn't change the way we feel about it. The opinion here is our own (or at least, my girlfriend's own).

All Around Sweet Romance
This is about an all-American family that looks out for one another. There is the romance story line, but there is also a mom who fought cancer, a sister who in the middle of leaving an not-great-ex and a dad who just wants to look out for his family the best he can.
Sierra came home from a bad break up and has to figure out what is next in her life. At the same time, she meets Wes who is in town for 3 months and ends up renting a cabin on her parents property. Friendship leads to more very quickly, but he is only in town for 3 months and that complicates things.
Excellent narration to compliment the story. I was drawn to the book because of the title of the cafe, I love everything salted caramel, and this certainly did not disappoint.
I accepted a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Chasing and finding your dream
Sierra is back home in small town Virginia, after living for several years in Tampa, FlL. She’s lost her boyfriend and job at a high end hotel. How will her family react to this news? At the same time that Sierra returns to her childhood room, her sister and 3yo are also moving in...seems as if the disappointments of life have hit the Blake sisters. Wes is temporarily renting the small cabin that’s owned by the Blakes. He’s in town for 3 months with the Army Corp of Engineers. Wes enjoys his job and traveling around the world...he doesn’t anticipate meeting the quiet girl from the Salted Caramel Cafe. Can a roving engineer have a relationship with a hometown girl who’s ready to settle down? This was another quick read that is chocked full of family values and finding oneself and dream. Great story! I look forward to these novellas by this author, they’re filled with heart and soul.

a few issues
I struggled with this narator. I had to slow the audio speed down some from what I normally listen to to understand her with her accent. also there were some production quality issues. background noise, a couple of parts that were obviously dubbed over. it just wasn't great. the story itself was okay, I think I would have enjoyed it more had I read it instead of listening to it

Love at the Salted Caramel cafe
Love and a salted caramel cafe! such a perfect combination! The title alone drew me in. This book was an absolute delight to listen to. The story was fun, sweet and charming.
The only niggle is that the narrator has a strong accent and I didn't understand some of her words. I had to rewind a few times. I am in the UK so it was, maybe, due to that fact but the story was good

Short but jam packed!
Angie Ellington has taken us to the Salted Caramel Cafe, where Sierra comes home to when she needed to re-evaluate her life. Wes has come to the area for a temporary position, but when the sparks fly with Sierra, he may just have to change his mind. This is story is short, but is so well developed, it's easy to entrench yourself into Sierra's life. Meeting her sister, dealing with her parents and a possible relationship with this new man in town will keep you listening as things get moving. Her niece is adorable, and Sierra's love for the Cafe and building a new future may just keep her in town now. Delve into this romance and enjoy Marie Chandler's narration.
Being my first experience with Marie Chandler as a narrator, I didn't know what to expect. I found her voice to be very pleasant, her voices easily distinguishable and she drew me into the small town lives of this family. It's a great listen!
