Publisher's summary

Eva Brock's mother was the most overbearing, controlling, and opinionated woman she had ever known, and if she didn't escape out from under her roof, she'd have Eva married off to a man not twice but three times her age! Her only hope was to become a mail-order bride and marry herself off before her mother did.

Finn Mullany wasn't looking for a wife and didn't want one. Or, rather, he didn't deserve one! He'd made some mistakes of late that cost his best friend his sight, and Finn was having a pretty hard time dealing with the aftermath. But what he didn't know was that sometimes forgiveness comes in many forms and many ways, and Lorcan Brody, Finn's best friend, found a way to show him he'd forgiven Finn completely. But would the love of a mail-order bride be enough to help Finn forgive himself?

One of my Favorites

I absolutely adore the evolution of Finn Mullany from denial to adoring. Eva Brock returns from "Love in Independence". I liked her character then, but once away from her mother, she blooms. A visit from a few previous characters, some mischievous boys and a few threats later; a wonderful story and read emerge for a brief escape from the stress of the day.

The Journey Continues

I was so excited to hear Finn's story! He was best friend's with Lorcan in Her Irish Surrender (oh my you have to read that one!) and he had so much guilt for what happened.
Eva Brock in Love in Independence decides she has had enough of her controlling mother and will not be forced to marry a man twice her age. So she decides to become a mail order bride and they send her to Finn. She takes off without telling anyone.
The last thing Finn expects is an instant bride! Then he finds out it was Lorcan who requested her..
There is a lot going on here and villains from previous stories pop up as well as additional memorable characters. I just cannot get enough of these wonderful stories and the amazing voice and characters of Michael Rahhal. I am besotted!

A heartwarming mail order bride romance!

What did you like best about this story?

Love at Harvest Moon continues the journey of many characters that we have come to know in the Holiday Mail Order Bride series. The characters are entertaining and well developed. The story line is fresh and mingles characters from previous books so you feel like the story continues where it left off. The plot moves along at a good pace. This is a sweet and delightful story that will captivate you and keep your attention from the beginning to the end.

What about Michael Rahhal’s performance did you like?

Michael Rahhal did a fantastic job on the narration. He really brought the characters to life. He did a great job with the different accents, especially the Irish accent. Sometimes his impersonations made me giggle. I had to laugh every single time he said “uhh huh”. You can hear the passion in his performance with the concise and clear speech while adding depth to the story.

Any additional comments?

Kit Morgan is one of my favorite authors. I know that when I pick up one of her books that I won’t be disappointed. Even though this is part of a series, each book can be read as a stand-alone. I have read/listened to each book back to back. If you are looking for a good mail order bride series to start, then I recommend to start with the Holiday Mail Order Bride series. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a heartwarming mail order bride romance.

Middle of the Series.

I love this series of mail-order bride stories! This is book 7 in the series and our hero (this time) is Finn Mullany. We met Fin in the previous book "Her Irish Surrender" and his BFF Lorcan Brody was our hero. Finn was a fight promoter but since Lorcan was kidnapped and forced to fight after going blind from his last fight, Finn hasn't been able to forgive himself for the accident. To show Finn that all has been forgiven, Lorcan sends Finn a mail-order bride as a surprise. Our heroine/bride is Eva Brock, whom we met in the last book, "Love in Independence". Eva's controlling mother was trying to get Eva together with the pastor who already had a surprise mail-order bride, Winnie Longfellow. Now Eva's mother is determined to marry her off to someone 3 times Eva's age (even older than Eva's father). This book had lots of suspense for a romance, two strangers come to town both looking to talk to Finn about the whereabouts of Lorcan Brody. The romance between Eva and Finn was very sweet and seemed to move along carefully neither realizing that they were falling in love. For a little comic relief we have the triplets who are young neighboring school age boys who causes chaos, Finn's mother and Betsy the mayor's housekeeper from the town of "Nowhere". Very interesting story and moves along pretty fast, highly recommended.

Fightin' Irish

I love the Irish ones! A surprise gift, misunderstandings, danger, and love.

The narrator was great with the Irish accents and the sinister southerner.
