Publisher's Summary

From New York Times best-selling authors Krista and Becca Ritchie comes a sizzling new contemporary F/F romance set in a coastal town, swimming with secrets, lies, and deep familial bonds.

Never fall in love in a cursed town.

Tourists flock to Mistpoint Harbor to snap photos of the famous lighthouse, browse the Museum of Curses & Curiosities, and claim their “I survived the Most Cursed Town in America!” pin. But for me, growing up in Mistpoint Harbor wasn’t a vacation. Not when locals have a deep-seated loathing for my family.

They hate my dad.

They hate my older brothers.

And they hate me—Zoey Durand, the girl who shrunk in high school at the taunts and jeers. Like a sad wilted flower. If it wasn't for October Brambilla, life would've been a real living hell.

But the moment I could leave my family's disgraced legacy and this cursed town behind, I did.

And I vowed to never return.

Until the phone call. My brother is in trouble, and I’d risk just about anything for my family. Even a curse. Even running into October Brambilla, the daughter of the wealthiest, most revered family in all of Mistpoint Harbor.

She is town royalty.

I'm town scum.

She's a goddess and ice queen.

I just want in-and-out.

But she's my total weakness. And she's already been cursed. She wants me gone before I meet the same misfortune. The more she pushes, the more my heart is willing to go up against a stupid old town legend. But my head is telling me to run.

No one returns to Mistpoint Harbor once they leave, and the longer I stay, the more I realize why.

Trash

If you like romance books with substance and a plot, this isn't it. It's really light lesbian porn with a very weak storyline. The actual writing (grammar, clarity, etc) is okay but the plot is piss poor. The narrators tried to help this book but still fell short. Minimal depth. If you're a newly out young lesbian with raging hormones, this might be more your speed. Anyone else? Don't waste the credit. Keep looking.

Fizzleverse Extended Universe

Absolutely love everything this duo writes and this was no different. Standalone in their existing world but always fun to see Easter eggs from the other series pop up. perfectly paced and such a captivating listen. narrators were perfectly cast and did an incredible job!

Great!

Another review said this book had no plot and likened it to light lesbian porn?? I strongly disagree. There were maybe 3 intimate scenes and they were not pornographic or distasteful at all in my opinion. There was plenty of character development for the leads and even decent character development for the secondary characters, whom there were quite a few of. The plot involved mystery and curses and small town dramas, accompanied by a sweet love story. There Could have been more background development of the leads by going back to their high school origin story more or by expanding more on the characters relationship w her family as a kid… but honestly, that would have expanded the read time extensively and not everyone is up for listening to a 20 hour book. I really liked the plot, leads, secondary and even tertiary characters. The mystery kept my attention and the love story was just the right amount of angst and sweet.

Rushed

The story was okay but it needed to be flushed out a bit. It seemed as though the authors tried to cram in as many tropes as possible.

Amazing 🤩

This has been one of my favorite romances, lesbian or otherwise. I don't usually like mysteries, but the humor and characterizations in this story just draw you in. It's a fun HEA.

Intriguing with spice!

I enjoyed this a lot. The narrator's we're fantastic at emulating the main characters. The chemistry between the two was fire. They are 100% for each other regardless of the opposition they face. The guilt and self loathing made for the hook up scenes that much more electrifying.
The story line was original and had me listening straight through.
More WLW please! Tremendous overall.

rounding up 4.5 stars to 5

Great all around! I was a little concerned over the resolution with the Augustine issue...it didn't seem...okay? Like morally or legally?

The flowery romantic tension was weeeee bit overdone but it was sweet so I forgave that. It's also how I remember things feeling in my early twenties so I guess it's fitting.

Loved the town, the side characters, the secrets. it wasn't overly predictable. I figured most of the mystery out but there were details I wasn't anticipating! which is kinda surprising because I'm not used to *not* knowing everything before the reveal.

Love & Other Cursed Things

This is such a cute book. I instantly fell in love with these characters. Even though this book ended with a HEA I hope one day there may be another story about Colt and maybe Baby🤞. Lessa Lamb and CJ Bloom did an incredible job narrating this book.

3/5 stars for me

I liked the story in general. I liked the background setting small town vibes. My only negative comment would be the very long descriptions of characrers’ actions and that. Expounding on the main characters’ past relationship would have been nice too,
