Beautiful Masterpiece!

I read Love Nouveau back when it was first released and it jump started my love for BL Berry. She has never disappointed in her eloquent way of writing, and I always anticipate her new works. When I knew Love Nouveau was being made into an Audible I jumped for joy and couldn't wait to listen. Hearing Andrea Emmes bring Ivy and Phoenix to life is EVERYTHING. Hearing the heartache and joys they experience, all the highs and lows, laughter and tears... WOW. I can't wait for Love Abstract to be released as an audiobook to continue this epic love story. Great job to both BL and Andrea!

A Must "Read"

This story is absolutely amazing and the narrator (Andrea) is so good. I felt like I was right there with Ivy and Phoenix. Andrea does a great job of bringing these characters to life with her voice and B.L. writes such real characters. You will be fully immersed in this story in no time. It's a beautiful, heart wrenching, gut check of a story about family, friends and love as well as finding yourself along the way.

Great audible!!

I normally stir away from audibles because my mind tends to wander, but this one held my attention. The performance and story were spot on. I didn't get lost in who was saying what or where we were at. I didn't have to rewind several times as I have done with past audibles. And, of course, BL Berry is amazing with her storytelling!!

This is definitely a story worth experiencing!

This is one of those books that runs you through every emotion known to man. That’s also why I feel this is an amazing book! It’s very emotional; A touching, down to earth, real relationship between 2 people that have struggled through life, but make each others lives better just by being in them. There were some times I got angry with their decisions but for the most part, I really loved them for who they are and how they are together. The author does a great job of pulling you into the story and making you experience it first-hand.

I read this book last year and fell in love with BL Berry’s writing style. I recently listened to it on audio as well and Andrea Emmes did a fantastic job of bringing the characters to life in the audiobook! She’s clear and concise and made their experiences even more real, almost like you’re part of the story.

This definitely a story worth experiencing!

Not Usually My Thing But...

Romance isn't really my genre. In fact, I hadn't ever listened to a romance novel before this one. So why start here?

In the interest of full disclosure, I received a free copy of this book in preparation for an interview I did with the author and narrator. However, that did not impact my feelings in any way.

The story didn't grab me right away but once it did grab me it didn't let go of my attention until the end of the book. There is a pretty big bombshell that drops about 2/3 into the book and it caught me by surprise and really sucked me into the story.

I found the main characters to be a combination of likeable and frustrating. In one sense I wanted them to succeed and find happiness but at other times I was annoyed by their poor decision making. That's how life works though so it felt realistic.

I really enjoy the narration of Andrea Emmes. She brings a youthful energy to her performance and it felt like she had a real understanding of the characters and their motivations. I'll definitely listen to Love Abstract despite the fact that this still isn't really my genre of choice.
