Secret romance changes the rules of the game.
Luke's never falling in love again.
All that matters now is winning. He's one of the best tennis players in the world. He has titles and endorsements and fans. He doesn't need love. Especially since he's sure he'll lose everything if he comes out.
Then rookie Jesse walks into the locker room.
Jesse, with his youthful optimism and sweet smile. His alluring innocence.
If Luke gives in to temptation, how long will Jesse be content as secret lovers? Can two pro tennis players find love without losing their careers-and their hearts?
Contains mature themes.

Luke is easy to relate to. Okay, maybe not the temper, but certainly the rest of it. He was once at ‘it’ boy. Hot stuff. Close to the very best in the world at what he did. (Okay, maybe not totally relatable, but didn’t we all have a moment in our twenties when we thought we knew everything?) He’s got a few more grand slams in him. He can win more. If he can only concentrate. Focus. Keep his mind on the game.
Which means Jesse is a distraction he can ill-afford. The young upstart has the temerity to make suggestions on how Luke can improve his game. Moreover, he suggests they play together. As a doubles team. Which would be all fine and good if Jesse wasn’t so damn attractive.
And so damn gay.
But Luke’s got his eye on the prize and he’s unwilling to give up his dreams. Coming out, as far as he’s concerned, will cost him everything. Jesse’s more willing to be real about their situation. When their hand is forced, though, all bets are off.
Naturally, seeing as this is a Keira Andrews’s romance, I go my happy ending. And a new appreciation for tennis.
Kirt Graves was the perfect narrator for the book and I adored his performance. Definitely worth a listen.

This was Andrews’s first book published! It was released in 2006 and audio done 15 years later. Keep that in mind as it feels dated. Glad I got to hear her first book. My favorite of her books is Valor.
